Brad Raffensperger’s refusal to help former President Donald Trump “find” 11,780 votes in the aftermath of the 2020 election does NOT make him a hero, especially as he continually defends discriminatory and suppressive voting practices in Georgia.
Georgians deserve a secretary of state who will fight to defend their right to vote, not suppress it.

Earlier this month, Republican groups filed a lawsuit alleging that PA county BOEs were violating state election code by implementing curing procedures. Curing is a process that allows voters to fix small mistakes on their mail-in ballots to ensure their vote is counted.

🧵: Last week, a conservative legal group, Wisconsin Institute For Law and Liberty (WILL), filed a lawsuit seeking to end the use of a national voter registration form in the state. The same group has repeatedly attacked voting in Wisconsin.

WILL argues that the form fails to ask for information required by state law pertaining to a voter’s residency and whether a voter has a criminal record.
On the other hand, WILL also claims that the form requests items that are “not required by statute,” including information about a voter’s race and political party affiliation.

🚨BREAKING: Federal court upholds Michigan laws that prohibit efforts to hire transportation to take voters to the polls & help voters request absentee ballots. Voting advocates argued the laws violate the VRA & the U.S. Constitution. More info to come. democracydocket.com/cases/michigan…
Michigan's laws hinder get-out-the-vote campaigns. For example, in 2018 Uber and Lyft provided promotions to help voters in every other state to get to the polls, but Michiganders could not take part. democracydocket.com/analysis/uberi…

In May 2021, Florida enacted massive voter suppression law #SB90. The law:
❌Bans volunteers from giving food and water to voters
❌Restricts drop boxes
❌Undermines third-party voter registration organizations and more.
