The Turkish Genocide of the Greeks in the Peloponnese begins...
When the Metropolitan began to return to Patras, together with the other bishops, they were accompanied by an ever-growing rabble of people armed with scythes, clubs and slings. #TripoliGenocide1821🩸
The bishops and priests, wherever they went, exhorted their parishioners to exterminnate "the infidel Muslims". Brigand klepths and guards of remote places known as armatoli came down from the mountains and began to ravage Turkish settlements. #TripoliGenocide1821🩸
Control soon passed out of the hands of the leaders, and the whole country was overrun by bands of armed hooligans, killing and murdering.
According to British writer, William St. Clair: "the savage passion for revenge soon degenerated into a frenzied delight in killing and horror for their own sakes".
Another British writer, David Howarth, observes that, the Greeks did not need any reason for these murders, "once they had started..they killed because a mad blood-lust had come upon them all, and everyone was killing"
"Soon a stench began to hang over the towns in the Peloponnese, emitting from the rotting headless corpses of the Muslims; pariah dogs and vultures were devouring the bodies; the water-wells were polluted and the plague began to raise its ugly head." ##TripoliGenocide1821🩸

THE OLD ARMENIAN "DUCK AND DODGE," AS PRACTICED BY RICHARD HOVANNISIAN, IN A 1983 PBS-TV DEBATE; WHEN THE "PROPAGANDIST PROFESSOR" RESIDES OVER A MONOLOGUE, "1.5 MILLION" ATTAINS THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE; WHEN CAUGHT IN A WORRISOME DIALOGUE, SUDDENLY THE NUMBERS DON'T MATTER:
When asked if the 1.5 million figure is accurate for the number of Armenians killed, Hovannisian said that numbers were not important. He said, "a whole nation died." He asserted that Armenians were moved and lost their way of life in their homeland forever.
Moderator Ungar then turned to Justin McCarthy, Associate Professor of Middle Eastern History at the University of Louisville in Kentucky, and asked if he agreed. McCarthy expressed his concern about the way Armenians present the facts.

"Although it is not directly related to our research topic, we saw that #Armenians perpetrated atrocities against #Turks at every point we passed from Bitlis to Trabzon."
"Although we were skeptical of the stories told to us at first, we were convinced after seeing the agreement in the statements of the eyewitnesses and the concrete evidence."
