1. I think the easy way to remove Russia from the UN security council is simply for the US to expel the entire Russian delegation. Then vote in Security Counsel to remove Russia and then confirm it with 2/3 vote of the General Assembly. Next best is to dissolve the current
2. UN and reform it without Russia as a Security Council member or perhaps even without a General Assembly member status. To keep their access to NYC the #UNGA might go along with removing Russia. China could block it but then they have to face door no 2 that ends their spies'
3. tickets to NYC. I think our late granting of visas for Russia may have been a warning and a signal how it can be done. Imagine what we would do if Russia starts using nuclear weapons? The idea that we still allow people like Lavrov here is absurd. If China won't agree we can
4. boot them too. Putin has destroyed the UN. We need to accept it and move on. China's espionage activities strongly suggests that the US would be wise to keep all Chinese diplomats limited to the DC area. Putin changed the world. The world has to accept it and move on.

1. On the WAPO report about Matt Gaetz and recommendations not to charge, "according to people familiar with the matter" who are they? If there is a grand jury and it is anyone at DOJ they just committed a crime. Who else might feed a willing WAPO reporter some primo clickbait?
2. My guess is that prosecutors are talking to Gaetz' lawyers and candidly made some comments that they are now feeding to the press. Or it's all a fabrication. There is near zero chance "people familiar with the matter" are DOJ but a very strong chance it's Gaetz political
3. team to get this out during the 60 DOJ blackout knowing that Garland will feel obligation to not charge or comment. I'm not a big fan of undisclosed DOJ sources that I think more often than not are just a ruse to advance lies and propaganda.

1. "Very loud and creepy, Kalinovka."

If I have this right it's in Russia close to NE Ukraine.
2. Here is the town. The feature on the upper right looks interesting.
3. Like an old weapons bunker system surrounded by a mine field. No apparent control gate so that may not be what it is.

1. Some #45 legal thoughts. Noting that I am not familiar with the NY statutes, the AG law suit raises a question in my mind of, to whom do the replacement trustees owe their fiduciary duties? This isn't a receivership in aid of a creditor. They are replacing the trustees of a
2. self-settled trust. First, I can't imagine why he can't just terminate the trust, vest everything severally. But if he doesn't then I'd presume the replacement trustees would owe him their fiduciary duty because he's the settlor.
3. Competent law-abiding professional managers as trustee would be greatly preferable for #45 than a Bankruptcy that would likely be the end of him IMO. He's a money launderer. Any trustee will likely find the enterprise is unprofitable without the illegal revenue and liquidate

1. When FPOTUS burned an ally's asset in the Oval Office and everyone started claiming a POTUS has unfettered declassification authority, I actually researched it. It's baloney and the @TheJusticeDept @DOJNatSec (NSD), for reasons unknown, appear to be dropping the ball
2. on a slow pitch.

In FPOTUS' response to the NSD motion to stay in the 11th Cir., FPOTUS conceded the relevant regulation was enacted during the Obama Administration claiming that it proves the sitting POTUS' omnipotent declassification authority as follows:
3. But if you actually read the EO it's clear that it does not establish that the POTUS has declassification authority because the POTUS is not mentioned. The argument that FPOTUS makes, that is beyond specious, is that a reference to "a supervisory official" includes the POTUS.

1. I didn't see any video but Kommersant is featuring this report. I don't see anything in TASS. No report of martial law. Just call up of people who served.
2. If the reporting I've been seeing is even partially right, this still may bring problems for the Putin regime. He isn't going to force the middle class to fight but he's going to wipe out all the retired and former service members. They're concerned for civil unrest but make
3. the object of their tyranny the people who know how to conduct military operations. That may prove a mistake. My old buddy once almost started a mutiny in Korea while commanding a Red team psyops unit. Some clever folks could push this call-up groups' buttons to resist

1. I remember as a boy sitting with my family watching the Adolf Eichmann trial. Decades later my sister married a German man who lived in the forest outside of Nuremberg. I remember the day in 1988 when my family including my brother and I arrived in Nuremberg for Christmas.
2. After we met my sister's husband and in-laws, John took a car and drove to the Nuremberg stadium. We didn't hardly speak. He drove. We both knew where we were headed. It was the winter solstice. A gloom seemed to cover the haunting scene.
3. Today Merrick Garland, who graciously gave a video remembrance at John's memorial, signed an MOU with the chief legal officer of Ukraine to establish the protocols for pursuing Russian war criminals.
