Sunak warned of the consequences of Truss's tax cutting policies only in August. Fiscal irresponsibility from the party that has wreaked havoc for years now. ImageImage
Truss doesn't care about the increasing divisions in society. Those Tory MPs who supported her for the sake of their incumbency at home will find new careers at the desperately needed #GeneralElectionNow - while the rest of us are left struggling with inflation, fuel costs,
recession and real terms pay cuts. It's a litany of failure from infrastructure to NHS queues. This whole mess, which began with #Brexit and keeps getting worse, will take non-blue politicians years to even get to grips with.
The worst of it? The self inflicted damage was voted for under our archaic voting structures by a minority of the UK. We *must* adopt fair voting as soon as possible.

Update on my political plans...in the 19 GE I stood in one of the safest Tory seats available - and was pleased to have increased the vote significantly in a "paper" seat.
That's when I first engaged on Twitter. I read every single comment everyone makes. Even the occasional tough one! What's been confirmed by you guys is that this awful Govt has to go. It's a total mess and things must change. What's also become clear is that there are 30-50
seats that will only go Tory>Lib Dem. I've great respect for you all, I'm genuinely honoured to have follows from Labour, Green, SNP, Plaid and small 'c' Tories. Collaborative working is what mends this, until we can get PR installed. I don't 'do' the tribal piece, or try not to,

The reality of the impending disaster of a Truss Govt is a long and terrifying story. Many of my readers warned of the consequences of Johnson going, and that in fact, worse was likely. Here, in stark terms it is. Image
There will be nothing other than a sop paid to the most vulnerable in society over the alarming rise in energy costs. Why? Because the far-right overlords of the ERG know her tenure in this Parliament will be brief. Those facing the catastrophic rise in costs
are incredibly unlikely to vote for her in a GE next year. She has none of the disingenuous mass market appeal Johnson had, so they aren't even going to bother trying. They've delivered #Brexit (such that it is...) So can't really go there - so what CAN they sell to voters?

Under NO circumstances should Johnson be allowed to remain PM in any capacity. #ByeByeBoris
He's clearly volatile, wholly unpredictable, and will need removing from Downing Street by being dragged out. He's apeing the worst aspects of Trumpism. He's buying time until October, and who knows what further damage he will do at home and abroad between now and then.
We are at a major crossroads now. His overt Narcissistic behaviour, his intent on revenge leaves his own party in as much danger as the rest of us. He disingenuously obtained his 19 mandate by lying about his oven ready deal, and getting Brexit done.

Every single Conservative politician, Parish, Town, Borough and County Cllr, candidate, MP and Peer who continues to support Johnsons appalling behaviour is unfit to hold any kind of elected position.
This is no longer a joke. It's not a game, a karaoke sing-a-long or the cut and 'thrust' of normal politics. The lies, corruption and deceit in itself should see Johnson and his cabinet resign in absolute shame, but his complete refusal to withdraw his
conspiracy theory based, debunked, far right originated slur about Keir Starmer is a whole new level of hell we are seeing for the first time. Politicians should be taking the heat out of situations, not making outrageous claims like Johnson did.

So Johnson gives Liz Truss the 'posion challice' of negotiating the NIP, two things, 1) she'll fail as it's impossible, and 2) she'll resign as the 47 Ministers before her have - thus ending a burgeoning leadership challenge.
This Liz Truss... The 'clean global Brexit' and the ERG will be telling us that 'this is a disgrace' 😏

Poll of polls. Let me know what you're all thinking please. This is one of four in this thread. Please retweet 👍🏿 - Next PM -
Poll 2. When will the next GE be?
Will LD, Labour, Green, Plaid etc work together (clearly but 'informally') if no why?
