Aspiring LD MP. Stood in 2019 General Election in Ruislip, Northwood + Pinner, and selected there again for the next one. Time to replace this awful government.

Privatisation of the UK's rail network, simply, has been an overall disaster. Credit due to @Mark_J_Harper for taking the abysmally failing Trans Pennine routes back under Govt control. The northern service generally, is a remaining vestige of the north/south divide.

Having worked in retail for much of my career, no supply problems have just one cause. One of the main issues here is simply due to changed arrangements post Brexit. Access to produce from Morocco for instance, (as that's current) will go as priority into the single market. Leaving the UK with less availability & higher prices. Much of Ireland's produce is via the UK, explaining shortages there. + high energy costs, and growers difficulties in exporting, AND poor weather conditions, and you've a perfect storm. Is Brexit solely to blame? No. It's not

Sunak warned of the consequences of Truss's tax cutting policies only in August. Fiscal irresponsibility from the party that has wreaked havoc for years now. ImageImage Truss doesn't care about the increasing divisions in society. Those Tory MPs who supported her for the sake of their incumbency at home will find new careers at the desperately needed #GeneralElectionNow - while the rest of us are left struggling with inflation, fuel costs,

Update on my political plans...in the 19 GE I stood in one of the safest Tory seats available - and was pleased to have increased the vote significantly in a "paper" seat. That's when I first engaged on Twitter. I read every single comment everyone makes. Even the occasional tough one! What's been confirmed by you guys is that this awful Govt has to go. It's a total mess and things must change. What's also become clear is that there are 30-50

The reality of the impending disaster of a Truss Govt is a long and terrifying story. Many of my readers warned of the consequences of Johnson going, and that in fact, worse was likely. Here, in stark terms it is. Image There will be nothing other than a sop paid to the most vulnerable in society over the alarming rise in energy costs. Why? Because the far-right overlords of the ERG know her tenure in this Parliament will be brief. Those facing the catastrophic rise in costs

Under NO circumstances should Johnson be allowed to remain PM in any capacity. #ByeByeBoris He's clearly volatile, wholly unpredictable, and will need removing from Downing Street by being dragged out. He's apeing the worst aspects of Trumpism. He's buying time until October, and who knows what further damage he will do at home and abroad between now and then.

Every single Conservative politician, Parish, Town, Borough and County Cllr, candidate, MP and Peer who continues to support Johnsons appalling behaviour is unfit to hold any kind of elected position. This is no longer a joke. It's not a game, a karaoke sing-a-long or the cut and 'thrust' of normal politics. The lies, corruption and deceit in itself should see Johnson and his cabinet resign in absolute shame, but his complete refusal to withdraw his

So Johnson gives Liz Truss the 'posion challice' of negotiating the NIP, two things, 1) she'll fail as it's impossible, and 2) she'll resign as the 47 Ministers before her have - thus ending a burgeoning leadership challenge. This Liz Truss... The 'clean global Brexit' and the ERG will be telling us that 'this is a disgrace' 😏

Like so many, I am greatly concerned about the Parliamentary debates on Mon/Tues related to the NHS. Particularly the "removal of statutory duty to arrange provision" It was very clear that a number of Brexit obsessives had their "eye" on the NHS, the profit potential in Pharma and tertiary provision. Under this Bluekip version of the Tory party, little would surprise any of us.

The Johnson Govt 'rap sheet' is starting to read like a book now. It's increasingly clear that they are misusing their clear influence afforded to them by the tax haven media Barons to simply re-write any "rule" in their way. This is (not coincidently) happening in many walks of life simultaneously. Clearly they want to get away with as many projects at the same time, so defenders of democracy, and ungagged journalists can't properly focus on any particular line. In the HO, the ministerial code was abused to keep Patel in post, despite the stench of

I've decided that I am pro #COVID19 passports. And here's why. I'm unconvinced by the 'it's illiberal' argument. I think in times of crisis, public health has priority. I have a right, being of a certain age - to be protected, and I wish to protect you. The u-turns and fiddling while Rome burns attitude of the Govt sees the public at greater risk than necessary. Equate this to the gun lobby argument in the US. Those pro state they have a right to bear arms, and the anti argument is citizens have a right to be protected from

How did this work out for Northern Ireland? You won't go down in history as a Napoleonic/Curchillian visionary, but a devious, shambolic liar who 'very personally' played a part in destroying the hard won peace of a country 'supposed' to be part of the UK. Yeah, I'm pretty angry. No apology for that I'm afraid. Anyone, cross party with a modicum of sense knew that this was the inevitably disasterous consequences of leaving the SM/CU. This is going to cost many lives, and for what?

The Mails dangerous propaganda:

1. Fireworks were fine en masse on VE day, Brexit day, and are clearly not political.

2. It wasn't the EU flag, it's the Council of Europe flag, we were a founder member.

3. What on earth is the issue with the NHS logo?

#BrexitReality Their staff have literally given their lives, under a disorganised Govt to save lives. Inc: that of the Mails cheerleading favourite son.

4. The BLM logo. Here the tongue biting exophobes take any opportunity to attack anyone who may alter their 'white Tory' first narrative.

The country is on an absolute knife edge. The single biggest political decision since WWII, rests it seems with a chancer who doesn't want a job he well knows he's not fit for. He knows ND is a catastrophe. The entire cabinet knows. Their advisors know. 👇 So it comes down to this. He signs the thinnest of deals (requiring) a 'pause' extension, and Labour votes to pass Parliament - and watches the Red Wall Brexiteers and the Brexit nutters eat themselves, or he crashes the country he claims to love into an abyss

It appears to be over for Trump. If so: Johnson & the ERG won't be far behind. My thoughts on the importance of Trumps re-election to Johnson and the Atlantacists like Fox and Davis... The internal market bill is likely to be currently 'parked' awaiting the POTUS outcome. If Trump wins - then it's literally the middle finger to Northern Ireland

The words 'fighting for the best #Brexit deal for Britain' is a complete contradiction in terms frankly While others may take this view, I can't see the evidence behind it, after a lot of careful reading & listening. I will always be entirely pro our membership of the EU.

To be clear about no-deal #NoDealBrexit They agreed to the 1st deal offered to May, as a border in the Irish Sea was the only route 'out' of the EU. Marginally, they appear to favour some kind of bare bones arrangement, but for the first time, they ARE prepared to crash the country, and society by having no trade terms, jumping blind off the the moon they howl at. The hundreds of MRAs cannot and will not be negotiated in time - so whatever happens now - catastrophe is an absolute guarantee

I'm the first to air my suspicions about this shoddy corrupt cabal in No. 10 but this u-turn is a complete shambles (though clearly welcome) and definately comes under the 'massive cock up' category. The dead cats have run out, the lies are exposed, the corruption undeniable the incompetence is spine-tingling. These lunatics who are slaloming towards no-deal, with no discernable plan, crashing the economy and deliberately damaging our standing in the world - have weaponised the forces, VE & poppy day, politicised MY flag, crashed the union

The BBC goes full Fox with Johnson says... Patel says...the r/w media are salivating at the chance of tonnes of inches of (not so) casual racism as a few dozen souls try to come to the UK to fill vacancies that desperately need filling. It's a dead cat, of course but a more important one than usual. As many UK Covid deaths per day as Europe combined, contract corruption leaking daily from the dyke - and no trade deal with the US or EU (or hardly anyone else) meaning that 600+ treaties come to an end in a few weeks, which will

I put my phone down last night, I am planning to have 70,000 voters to represent soon (from all sides). I am livid over the complete subversion of democracy... The names touted to become an entirely unelected Govt defender are frightening. It's a Trumpian political appointment And nothing more. Press spokespeople should be neutral - or how can the media be (they aren't) and here, right in front of us, is that rabbit hole... And we are being pushed into it. With Fox, Stewart & Hoey literally laughing at us - not with us. I want more democracy, not less
