Bob Ney: I think the story is true that Trump was one tweet away from firing Ivanka & Jared. I think Ivanka & Jared probably knew that at any point in time there's a tweet in the bank.
Rick: Ivanka was the special one, beyond reproach.

Bob Ney: Ivanka would have still been around but with a different title. How crazy is it that Trump would have fired his own daughter with a tweet? Twitter should have kept Trump around for the advertising.

Rand Wilson: We're getting favorable decisions b/c of Pres. Biden's relationship w/ the NLRB. There's something fundamentally wrong when the company you've organized is at a disadvantage b/c non-union companies have lower costs. We need to move to sectoral bargaining.

Peter Olney: My union, the Int'l Longshore & Warehouse Union, has sectoral bargaining. There are large areas of the country, esp. the southeast, where the auto industry is no longer union. We need to get the auto industry back to sectoral bargaining.

Rick Wilson: I'm in north FL; we're praying hard for the folks in Orlando. The storm is a 2 or 3 as it approaches Orlando. No one will wake up in the a.m. & wonder if Joe Biden's response is to throw paper towels.
