If you follow our account, you know that we get a lot of hate from TERFs & "Gender Criticals" for supporting LGBTQ+ folks.

Their harassment doesn't scare us & won't ever stop us from joining in solidarity with trans people — our fights are inseparably linked. #Thread.

The same Trump Republicans who are working so hard to ban abortion are doing all they can to make it impossible for trans people to live openly & safely. It all comes down to their disrespect for bodily autonomy.

Far-right extremists (who are natural allies of the TERF/GC movement) believe that THEY should have power over the lives of women, trans folks, nonbinary people — really anyone who isn't a cis white man.

It's not just about ending reproductive autonomy. It's not just about banning gender-affirming care.

It's about denying underrepresented & marginalized people the freedom to determine our own futures.

It's fascist oppression wrapped up in the language of "protecting" women, children, or fetuses.

Anti-abortion & anti-trans laws are just getting more extreme.

Most abortions are banned in 14 states & more will follow suit. Republicans have introduced legislation to restrict care nationwide.

At least 15 states have passed or proposed laws restricting gender-affirming care for minors.

Lawmakers have proposed jailing doctors who provide care to trans teens & women who have abortions in states where procedures are banned.

They want to require public school teachers to out trans students or investigate parents who affirm their children's gender for child abuse.

Trans people are not a threat to women or to our movement. Anti-freedom Republicans are.

We cannot for a second ignore where the real danger lies.

Freedom over our bodies and our lives is the most fundamental freedom we can have. We will never stop fighting for it.

Abortion is a human right.
Trans rights are human rights.
Women's rights are human rights.
