Can enlightened people marry someone not enlightened? #Enlightened
Before my liberation I told my teacher that I want someone who has grown spiritually. She said that is your ego speaking. She was right. #Enlightened
However, right now, I want/feel to be with someone whose heart is closed that I can open with my love. #enlightenment #Enlightened
If I can heal a heart, give love every day, make her happy, and see my own beauty reflected in her, is there a greater satisfaction than that? #Enlightened #enlightenment

What are the biggest misconceptions about yoga? #yoga
The major misleading idea is that Yoga was originally intended for improving and maintaining HEALTH.
It was not. The original aim of Yoga was to strengthen the body and perfect posture for the purpose of MEDITATION. #yoga
Yoga sūtras are about psychology and the overcoming of existential suffering. They contain only two sūtras about āsana: #yoga
The best thing about Hinduism is that it doesn't classify it as bad or good; nor does it ban things on generality as it understands one might have to do small wrong for greater good. It understands things are not just black & white, they exist in grey also. #sanatandharma
Raavan was a great man but his unethical want for sita made him lose his life. Hindu scriptures don't classify him as a 100% bad king. According to folk stories he was a great and a victorious king, merciless sometimes. #sanatandharma
Hinduism talks about heaven and hell (Swarg and Narak) as well as attaining liberation (Moksha)? Aren't these contradictory considering that every action we do is governed by laws of karma? #sanatandharma
All Sacred Literature in India is to interpreted as per the rules of Mīmāṁsa - exegesis/hermeneutics.
If I were running the education system in India this would be the very first subject to be taught, as all literary comprehension depends on it. The vast majority of all the scriptural quandaries arise from an ignorance of Mīmāṁsa. #sanatandharma
The main purpose of the dark night of the soul is to show you that you are not in control and never have been. It will continue until you give up. You can only give up after you see that you cannot influence the situation. It doesn’t matter wat you do. #spiritualawakening
You have to figure out how dependent and powerless you are. How pathetic you actually are. You thought you where someone, you are actually nobody. Not even a grain of sand. You have to crawl on the floor. You need to be humiliated. Until you give up on life. #spiritualawakening
What is the dark night of the soul? Do people who experience it always have a spiritual awakening? #Spirituality #spiritualawakening
The dark night of the soul for me was the un-intangible aloneness. The realization that nothing matters in this world at the same time as realizing everything matters. #Spirituality #spiritualawakening
Its this bittersweet recognition of utter blessedness of life and utter meaningless of “my” life. Its the personal self, self imploding..
Some excellent answers have been given on the theory of mantras. #mantra
But I hold with the Mimamsaka idea that all knowledge has to have a PRACTICAL application - if it cannot be applied then it must be left aside - like the milk in the kshīra-sāgara upon which Viṣhṇu lies - it cannot be used on our cereal or to make cafe latte! #mantra
"Mantra” comes from the root — mananāt-trāyate iti mantra — man = mind; tra = protect.
This means the mantra is a centering device which protects your mind from random thinking! #mantra
