#Pune has turned from an idyllic, lush serene city to a broken, dusty and noisy one in the last few years. Every road is either under construction or a complete mess. New roads opened come with existing bumps and potholes at launch.
#Kothrud to #Bavdhan that used to be a 15 minute leisurely drive is a chaotic 1.2 hours and sometimes more during a jam in the newly twisted Chandni Chowk roads.
For a doctors appointment 6 km away, I have to leave an hour early sometimes. #PuneTraffic
And if it so much as drizzles, god help you!
This whole side of the city is ruined.
Tree are chopped mercilessly, roads are dusty and filthy, Unnecessary diversion and constant traffic jam. And now the latest planned onslaught on #vetaltekdi . #punerains
This looks nothing like the city I grew up in. It’s slowly turning into a city in shambles.
Ridiculous what a beautiful city has been reduced to. #pune#PMC@nitin_gadkari

Shifting blame is one thing but PM blaming helpless migrant workers for their desperation and accusing lakhs of common citizens of Maharashtra who came out to assist and help migrants during covid crisis is a new low even for BJP. #lockdown#महाराष्ट्रद्रोही_BJP
I know many women including both my sisters @paayal93535, who packed sandwiches and distributed them to children of workers as they set out to their impossible journeys. Buildings handed out drinking waters in pune to workers in line for bus tickets. None belonged to any party!
Students ran pillar to post arranging groceries and medicines for the elderly in their societies. In my own neighbourhood, salaried citizens brought rations for their maids as they couldn’t seek work nor return to their villages.
This is for @TanishqJewelry and #bigots who called for #BoycottTanishq and have questioned “what if” religions were changed.
So here goes, my maiden name is Zara Farooqui and I am married to Nikhil Parwal @NikZar05 since 2016. And these are our wedding pics. #TanishqAd
We had a big fat Indian wedding with Hindu rituals spanning over 4 days with family, friends and relatives coming from far and near to bless and celebrate us. Barring a handful of my husband’s distant relatives everyone was involved, loving and accepting. #tanishq
So although I do understand that for some bigoted and closed minded people it’s unthinkable but in real India, which looks beyond caste and religion it does happen and families do accept and honour each other’s traditions with open arms and immense love. #TanishqEkatvam
