1. Sir,pls correct your timelines.Syed Ahmed Khan passed away in 1898, when Savarkar was barely 15 yrs old. From 1858 until his death, Khan had built on the Two Nation Theory which was based on the worldview of Shah Waliullah Dehlawi whose seminary Khan was a product of.
2. @Jairam_Ramesh This is an extract from Syed Ahmed Khan's book Causes of the Indian Revolt (1858) which I have extracted on Page 74 of my book #IndiaBharatAndPakistan. Khan referred to Hindus and Muslims as "two antagonistic races". This was 25 years before Savarkar was born.
3. @Jairam_Ramesh Page 75 of #IndiaBharatAndPakistan where I have cited Sharif Al Mujahid who specifically stated in his article "Sir Syed Ahmed Khan and Muslim Nationalism in India" that in *1867*,Khan told the commissioner of Benares that Hindus and Muslims were "two nations".
4. @Jairam_Ramesh Extract from Khan's speech vehemently opposing introduction of a representative parliamentary democracy in Bharat bcoz that wud result in Muslims living under a Hindu-majority Government. Savarkar was an infant at this point- Pg. 77 of #IndiaBharatAndPakistan
5. @Jairam_Ramesh Here are extracts from Khan's speech of December 18, *1887* on the eve of the Congress's annual session in Madras. Notice the simultaneous British loyalism, application of Two Nation Theory and Hindu hatred Khan oozes. Pages 78-85 of #IndiaBharatAndPakistan.
6. @Jairam_Ramesh Here are extracts from Khan's speech of March 16, *1888* delivered in Meerut. Here's how he threatened the British Government with invasion by the Pathans if the "Muslim nation's" (Muslim qaum) interest were not secured. Pgs. 85-93 of #IndiaBharatAndPakistan
7. @Jairam_Ramesh Here is what Syed Ahmed Khan said in 1892, six years before his death, when Savarkar was *nine* years old. Pgs. 93-94 of #IndiaBharatAndPakistan
8. @Jairam_Ramesh To sum it up,Khan & Savarkar were *not* contemporaries in any reasonable sense. The 2 nation theory had come into existence way before Khan thanks to Shah Waliullah Dehlawi.Khan was d product of Dehlawi's seminary Madrasa-i-Rahimiyya.These are unrebuttable facts.
9. @Jairam_Ramesh As for Partition of Bengal,Curzon wanted to impede Bengali Hindu-led Movement & found willing collaborators in Muslim leaders of Bengal such as Nawab Salimullah, & the Aligarh establishment. Have captured the events in Chapters 3 & 4 of #IndiaBharatAndPakistan.
10. Savarkar merely took the position that the Two Nation Theory was a reality given its consistency with Islamic beliefs and its long track record of acceptance by the Muslim community. He was unfortunately vindicated by the Partition and the electoral results preceding it.

1. Why are certain "Kalpo"nik anonymous handles sharing only the case title instead of the link to the entire order in which I appeared as the arguing counsel for Puja Dileeprao Khedkar in 2020? Here's why. Link to the complete order - indiankanoon.org/doc/90472983/
2. I appeared as the arguing counsel in a petition relating to her representation to the UPSC seeking copies of her answer sheet in 2020 after she had *failed* to clear the prelims. The Petition I appeared in had nothing to do her with caste or disability certificates.
3. Neither her disability nor caste certificates were the subject of the Petition I appeared in. That was an altogether different Petition which she appears to have filed separately. I am sure the mischievous "Kalpo"niks could have found this out through a simple Google search.
1. As the day ends & the dust of election settles,I think, despite the losses, congratulations are in order to the BJP-led NDA for having the numbers to form a government for the 3rd consecutive time. All said & done, what could have been a Panipat was averted with a close shave.
2. As of this tweet, this is the final position. Come to think of it, but for UP, Rajasthan and Bengal, these numbers speak a lot but not enough. After all, numbers don't tell the entire story in my limited view as a layperson in the realm of psephology.
3. I don't have the resources or the first-hand knowledge to distill the reasons for the outcome. With this caveat, I will air a few general expectations which, in my view, are legitimate and reasonable. Whether they led to the outcome or not is for stakeholders to decide.
I will :-) Unsurprisingly, they are latching on to d edited title instead of responding to the contents of the 4 articles I have written thus far on the subject. At least 6 pieces on Dravidianism are in d pipeline. I expect a lot more whining from Periyarites and Blue Rageboys :-)
Late last yr,I appeared virtually from Delhi before d Madras HC for an Intervenor in d Udhayanidhi Stalin hate speech case. By then,I had started publishing d series on d anti-Dharmic origins of Dravidianism after Udhayanidhi Stalin's speech. Here's what happened in open Court.
The entire defense of Periyarites defending Udhayanidhi Stalin's hate speech against Sanatana Dharma was that his statement was fully covered by permissible free speech under d Constitution. So asking for eradication of Sanatana Dharma, according to them, was protected free speech.
@KhalidBaig85, I am not at all surprised at your disagreement. If u recollect,in my conversation with Amana ji & u,I had clearly said that reclamation isn't limited to Kashi & Mathura.Since both of u are so keen to get Hindus to support the Pasmanda Muslim cause, here's a thought.
The PoW Act expressly states that it doesn't prevent parties from a peaceful return of occupied sites through a mutual settlement. Since you are so concerned about confrontation, why can't you encourage the Pasmandas to support the Hindu case for return of occupied Hindu sites?
That way, acrimonious litigation in Courts & the confrontation you apprehend can also be avoided. And the claim that the Pasmandas r different from Ashrafs in their perception of Bharat’s history becomes credible. In any case, how can u justify continued occupation of Hindu sites?
