Researchers in the Chainlink community have a long history of MEV research, including Fair Sequencing Services (FSS) & Protected Order Flow (PROF).

They've also examined how DeFi protocols can recapture the oracle-related MEV generated from their usage.
Oracle-related MEV is generated when economic value is created during the consumption of data from an oracle by a DeFi protocol.

A prime example is liquidations in lending protocols, where non-toxic MEV is generated and captured by participants of the block building process.
