The rate at which diabetes disease is spreading in Nigeria is alarming. With few facilities to fight or contain it, this is causing medical havoc across the country and we have lost souls to this disease
Fundraisers here and there to fly people out of the country to treat kidney
diseases. From January till date, I have seen and helped people RT their fundraisers and the smallest I have seen is within the ₦3,500,000.00 - ₦5,000,000.00 range
Diabetes according to experts develops either because one of the body's vital organs, the pancreas, is not
producing enough of the hormone insulin to break down the glucose or because the insulin produced is not working properly. It may be hereditary and the individual's life style can put one at greater risk of developing the condition.
Tafakkur verse Q2: 132
"And this was the legacy that Abraham left to his sons, and so did Jacob; "Oh my sons! Allah hath chosen the Faith for you; then die not except in the Faith of Islam."
Tafakkur verse 109
"Many of the People of the Book wish they could turn you back to Kuf after ye have believed, from selfish envy, after the Truth hath become Manifest unto them: But forgive and overlook, Till Allah accomplish His purpose; for Allah Hath power over all things".
Qawā'id al-Fiqhiyyah refers to the maxims or principles generally accepted as the basic principles of Islamic jurisprudence. The maxims are similar to a road users' guide placed in strategic positions to help road users navigate the roads without a problem.
The road users would not be able to use the traffic rules if they do not have a good understanding of the traffic signs. Hence, to understand the maxims of the Sharī'ah and apply then appropriately, he/she must have understood Uṣūl al-Fiqh and Maqāṣid ash-Sharī'ah.
Since the first user and interpreter of the Islamic law was Prophet Muhammad (SAW), it is very important for Muslims to understand him and take lessons from those who lived with him, their students and scholars who studied their lives and their manners of applying the rules.
