If you perfectly combine history, geography, science, mythology, and fiction, you'll have a delicious book cocktail. Aside from the Bharat series, there is no such thing as a perfect book cocktail.
The seventh book in the Bharat series is The Magicians of Mazda.
Books in the Bharat series are, as usual, very catchy. I'm accustomed to finishing Ashwinji's book faster than others. When I start reading any book in the Bharat series, my reading speed increases, and I try to finish the last chapter as soon as possible.
When an author narrates the entire plot in the first few chapters, you may feel disconnected or unable to connect the dots (this will only happen if you're reading Ashwinji for the first time).
As usual, I just kept reading without thinking about the unresolved puzzle pieces in my head. Because I knew the author would do it for me in the final few chapters, and I'd be surprised when all those misaligned puzzle pieces came together.
You believed that anything you knew was true or that you knew everything when you were a teenager and in your early 20s. But when you get older, learn a few things, and start reading, you realize you know nothing.
This time, the topic is Zoroastrianism. It discusses many aspects of the exodus of Zoroastrians from Iran to Gujarat, India. Geographic shifts and the history of Middle Eastern kingdoms and Parsi.
In the first three chapters, you will journey across three different nations (India, the USA, and Iran) at about three different times.
This fictional story contains a fantastic lead character and many excellent supporting ones. I found Linda Dastoor, the protagonist, to be quite endearing. A history buff, self-assured, and most importantly, brave. She is Jim Dastoor's wife, the main character.
It's not just a make-believe tale. It involves knowledge of geography, history, and some excellent fiction.
