On 10th of october in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, A crowd from Hindu community took out a religious procession on the occasion of Durga Puja. While passing by a mosque, the men from Muslim community asked the procession to lower the volume of the music played on loud +
speakers. But the crowd refused. This sparked stone pelting and clashes.
According to eyewitnesses from the Muslim community. The Hindu crowd brandishing swords and sticks baged inside, vandalised the mosque and set it to the fire . twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
A house of Mohd Sagir was also allegedly looted by police at night.
The police action did follow but it was lopsided against muslims. An FIR was registered naming 52 people out of which 51 are muslim and one is an unarmed person. So far 10 muslims have been detained.
“Chun chun ke maaruga, mitti mei mila dunga and unke ghar bulldozer chalaunga.” Addressing the Hindu crowd, a police officer said.
This has become a textbook Hindutva Model, go in front of the Mosque and start playing malicious songs or raise slogans to provoke the Muslims, so that they react.
And keep on doing the same till the time, the atmosphere doesn't turn hostile.
The only people who are arrested are the Muslims and then went on to say, that houses of the people will be demolished as well.
So, if the mob didn't get you, the police will come and finish the 'job'
A delay remainder, of what Muslims face for been a Muslim in India.
See how The Times of India reported on this whole incident. 🙂
