The rise of certain major religions was a change in the World Order.
The European conquest of the Americas resulted in a New World Order.
The era of colonialism was itself a New World Order.

70s oil crisis? New world order.
The end of apartheid in South Africa? New World Order.
The fall of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War? Big time New World Order.

There's also a war on between a major producer of grain and critical ores, and a major producer of oil and grain which happens to be a nuclear power.
Oh, and Climate Change.
