SCBA vice president Pradeep Rai: Justice Gupta' father was arrested in 1992 for being RSS chief, had opposed govt policies.
Later when ban lifted, FIR was quashed.

Justice Gupta is very hardworking, leaving his work many times he would research for others.

Rai: Fee was never a consideration for him. Has delivered many criminal law judgments, his friends remember him as one of the best human beings and aa a fitness freak. His aerobics trainer is now in Tripura.

Rai: Has been noticed for his bold judgments and interest in travelling and gardening. I do not know if his fitness freak nature is still there but earlier he used to go the gym everyday. He was part of first fully paperless bench. He speaks what he believes in

AG: his court. Must share with you a recent gift he gave me, I cherish that gift. In a temple administration matter, both sides aggressively fought. When matter came up for final hearing, we all were prepared for big battle like WWW.

AG: Matter was letter settled and compromised. Later one of the people working in the temple told me after i became AG, sir you served in the temple now God has served you.

AG: Honour and glory of our profession lies in extending our warm hearts to serve every part of this section. All of us are together in being soldiers and parts of this temple of justice. This collective effort matters. Thank Justice Gupta, look to him to keep being with us.

Singh: He's very helpful, has maintained his original group of friends from school. His work never interfered in the personal bonds that he created. He is known for his hard work, erudition, will be deeply missed by the Bar. I know he will be there to guide us.

CJI: What makes Justice Hemanth Gupta even to go into the smallest details. Makes the best of whatever is there before him.
He was on the Bench with me and Justice Indu Malhotra, he was the only one using the laptop or whatever the device was. I am technologically challenged..

CJI: But Justice Gupta no wonder was digitally advanced and part of paperless courts. We have commonality that ends with coming from laywer families. He is far far greater than anyone of us including me.

Justice Gupta: One cannot be discharging his duties as a judge by trying to please people. I was harsh, blunt would sometimes lose my cool. I am not perfect, i may have erred. It was wholly unintentional. My future and third innings is still undecided but will remain in Delhi.

Justice Gupta: I thank my team of clerks and researchers, they would present their points happily. The common saying is there is a lady behind every successful person, for me that is my wife. She has supported me for 37 ... Sorry 35 years.
