The European percentage has been shrinking this week, now down to 47%.
Only four ships out today but the MT amount stayed high.

The biggest load out of Odesa today was the EAUBONNE carrying 53,376 MT of wheat destined for Kenya.
Food insecurity increased this year in 16 of the countries importing Ukrainian wheat.
The @WFP says “it is currently “holding back famine” in five countries: Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Somalia, South Sudan and Yemen.”

All of these countries have received Ukrainian wheat.

In the midst of all this, meetings regarding the grain deal were held in Istanbul at the JCC today between Ukraine and Turkey who both touted their desire to keep moving forward.

The UN Under-Secretary-General and the Director General of UNCTAD travelled to Moscow today where talks are also scheduled but it appears Putin forgot to put them in his schedule.

I’ve mentioned a few times that the mobilization in Russia will affect agriculture in the coming years and the miller’s union agrees. In late September they asked for deferments warning that companies would have to shut down.

The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia responded saying essentially, we will try to work with the enlistment office to delay but you better train new staff because we already see a big problem for spring 2023.
