🧵1/ While I'm once again impressed by the nature of their initiatives, I'm missing the same old basic things.
Engagement promises are nothing without easy to use, structured means of engagement and basic requirements for proposals that should be in/excluded.
2/ @TeamKujira and any other chain is international and there for there should be adequate translators be appointed for major languages that makes governance REALLY decentralised. Up until now this still remains a major obstacle for people to engage in discussions on #blockchains
3/ a senate should be chosen by the WHOLE community and those being on the list need to clearly, publicly and truthfully write their agenda down, their experience and/or expertise and anything that's relevant to the tasks of the senate.
4/ the debates of the senate on decisions (in this case grants for now) should be 100% open to the public, either in forums or live videocalls, no backroom deals or friends granting money to friends unless it's not out of friendship but genuinely in favour of the community.
5/ I find it strange that a senate is created with their first task to decide on grants or decisions on the treasury, instead of a senate with the priority on technical expertise to keep the chain safe and make quick decisions if needed for the benefit of the chain.
6/ in the article they are also talking about decisions regarding "investment" strategies as a task for the senate. As $Kuji holders we should be able to hold the Senators accountable for bad decisions, if they claim to be our representatives and invest our money.
7/ Senators should hold a minimum of their own skin in the game that can be taken away by voting in case of bad decision making. This should be kept to a minimum to give everyone a chance ($50? maybe) but should go up if they're incentivised for being a Senator.
8/ As I mentioned before I'm impressed by the Kuji team by their ideas but this should all be very clear before any decisions are made on our behalf and this should be done on EVERY #blockchain that claims to hold decentralisation as one of their values.
Don't be like politicians
