Catching up on the OKs trial - it appears some context is being left out of Jason Dolan's testimony. He says he just "starts walking" to the Capitol, but omits that he was escorting a "stack" of VIP Stop the Steal operatives. Here's his "walk". 1/

More odd omissions from Dolan's trial. From @rparloff, this photo is shown of OKs inside the Capitol and called the Rotunda. But it's really the Small House Rotunda, and what's omitted is that they're talking to arrested Proud Boy #MaroonPB. 3/
Here's a screenshot of the same scene from another angle, with #MaroonPB visible. He'd already gone down through Statuary Hall toward the House chamber & come back again. It matters because just after this #MaroonPB and several of the Oath Keepers head over to the Senate side. 4/
This statement by Dolan during trial is also a lie, that his "protectees" "took off" before he headed up the Capitol steps. A few were ahead of him, including Michael Coudrey & Simone Gold, but others stayed back and livestreamed the action. Maddening. 5/
To clarify: Dolan has pled guilty and Geyer, who is doing the questioning, is a defense lawyer for other Oath Keepers. The "Stop the Steal stack" was covered by the DOJ yesterday (h/t @bennybryant17), tho it's not detailed in Dolan's statement of facts. 6/

The Oath Keepers trial this week is filling Jan 6 news, but remember Michael Riley's trial too. He's the Capitol Police officer charged with helping an attacker - and was the first responder to the pipe bombs & is repped by Trump's lawyer Evan Corcoran. 1/

Very little information on the pipe bombs has come out. We know that Riley was the first responder only because his attorneys filed a motion saying so & demanding footage. One possibility: they are using Riley to get video needed for another client. 2/

Less than two weeks after his indictment, Michael Riley suddenly swapped out his lawyers for a high-powered team including Evan Corcoran, who handled negotiations about the documents Trump took to Mar-a-Lago. It was odd enough that WUSA9 wrote about it. 3/

To all writing about Trump and the Kim Jong-un letters, here's a basic timeline and links to the transcripts of some that have been public since 2020. Note that these letters are FAMOUS - they're why that NARA started investigating Trump, because NARA knew they were missing. 1/
The sequence seems to be:
* In Fall 2019, while Trump was still president, Bob Woodward was allowed to look at the letters from Kim Jong-un to Trump. He then dictated them into an audio recording, while a Trump aide watched. 2/

* In January 2020, Woodward asks to look at the other side of the exchange, the letters FROM Trump TO Kim Jong-un, and Trump tells him they are "so classified". 3/

All - let's just admit what's happening. The Russian invasion of Ukraine is mixed up with culture wars in the US because Russia WORKED to make that so. Because they are terrible at conventional war but good at info war. Because they can beat the US only by convincing us to quit.
More on this later, but here are the January 6 influencers in our summary table: nearly 20% of them (red), have links to Russia. Dark red is Russian born or Russian-speaking foreign wife. Lighter red is Russian fluency / study abroad or employment at Russian state media. 2/

Preparations to overturn an election started in summer 2020. In July/August multiple new groups were formed, that brought people to the Capitol on Jan 6. (green). It took months to build up the machine. The day before Roger's rant, the Proud Boys registered a new corporation. 2/
The actual Stop the Steal effort wasn't formalized til September, but July / August saw 6 new "astroturf" groups formed, which spread the Big Lie & built the crowds. One is Lawyers for Trump, focused only on election fraud. (Same timeline screenshot, w/ groups now highlighted) 3/

Just to flag for the world that Kyle Becker @kylenabecker has been informed that he is misidentifing someone at the Capitol Jan 6. The man he labels as Ray Epps is #HonkyTonkTraitor, whose behavior is indeed suspicious - enough that Becker should worry about defamation suits. 1/
The #SeditionHunters community uses hashtags to avoid even a chance of defamation, since we describe criminal acts. We also work to ensure labels are accurately used. The man tagged as #HonkyTonkTraitor likely has felony assault - but he's not Epps. 2/
On Jan 6, #HonkyTonkTraitor rushes in with the first wave of invaders, is one of the first up the Media Tower, remains there during the long W. Plaza battle, then goes to fight at the tunnel. He is not a bystander. Becker News needs to be very careful. 3/

The DOJ continues it's 100% winning stream on jury trials, convicting John Strand of America's Frontline Doctos on all 5 counts, including felony obstruction. Strand (age 37) used a defense that he was under the influence of his powerful older girlfriend, Simone Gold. 1/
John Strand did seem to trail behind the more high-profile Simone Gold, who leads the anti-vaxx America's Frontline Doctors. She pled guilty and got 60 days; Strand went to trial and faces years. That lesson should register for their fellow Jan 6 VIPs. 2/
Typo in Tweet 1: "winning streak". DOJ is unbeaten at J6 jury trial convictions. For plea deals, they've had a different streak: defendants taking a guilty plea, then playing the victim on social media. Simone Gold is already accusing her judge of bias. 3/
