80,000-100,000 people demonstrated in Berlin to demand diplomatic isolation of Iran. Diaspora people from Germany, Prague, Netherlands, Sweden

We don't know if they came from France at all; there were a lot of buses chartered by communities. There were also demonstrations in Melbourne and Sydney, and in a few hours we'll be demonstrating in Toronto and Vancouver

The call was launched by the most fashionable spokesman: a Democratic doctor with no political label or background, spokesman for the families of the victims of the Ukrainian Boeing shot down over Tehran, half of whose passengers were Canadians of Iranian origin.

This doctor lost his wife and daughter in the disaster, and has been involved in political and social action ever since, claiming no affiliation with the left or the right, with the supporters of the Shah or with those who want alternatives.

Unity is achieved around his person because he is a "newby" in this respect. He came to Berlin to speak.
More essential: the demonstrations in Iran itself, in at least five cities including Tehran.
