To be clear on Chelsea and Ronaldo. Todd Boehly still sees the appeal of signing him, especially to the brand. He asked Thomas Tuchel multiple times to consider him. Tuchel was consistently dismissive & at times dismayed by how often Ronaldo's name was mentioned.
Nothing has changed or progressed since. Jorge Mendes has held no further talks with Chelsea on Ronaldo. Even the summer chat was largely exploratory. Boehly won't move for Ronaldo as a priority. That remains the midfield. And will still only do so with Graham Potter's blessing.
My understanding is Potter currently has other forwards in mind above Ronaldo in the pecking order. He likes Rafa Leao (a pre-existing target before his time) and Jonathan David and Ivan Toney are also on his radar.
Ronaldo, potentially on a free or loan & with cut wages, could prompt more suitors to make a move, but right now Ronaldo to #CFC is viewed as a hard sell. Sources close to Mendes see routes to Roma next season, especially if they qualify for #UCL, and also MLS.
But they are less confident in #CFC materialising even on a short-term deal. Ronaldo would also have to be convinced he'd play often enough or he could end up in the same position as at Manchester United currently.
What Mendes is hoping for, though, is Boehly staying on as sporting director through January & exerting more of a personal say, especially with extra time to assess the market. But #CFC sources maintain Ronaldo would never be signed without "100% buy-in" from Potter.

Newcastle chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan tells Radio Eight, PIF were offered 30% in another EPL club, believed to be Manchester United. "[#NUFC] wasn’t the first offer we got. We looked in Italy, France & the UK."

PIF did explore Inter whilst takeover stalled. And also Bordeaux.
YAR adds: "In the UK there was a team that approached us to take 30% of the ownership, providing we didn't interfere at all managing the club, for £700 million... then we bought Newcastle. We bought the whole team for £350 million instead of having 30% for £700 million.”
YAR also cites #CFC sale price as an example of potential growth. PIF already work with Chelsea's majority owner Clearlake: "Chelsea was sold for $3.5 billion. So, my potential now is to go from £350 million to at least $3.5bn.” No suggestion this is with a view to then selling.

Told both Chelsea and Arsenal interest in Dusan Vlahovic is not significant or, as one source put it, "active". Both clubs have looked at Vlahovic in the past and Arsenal pushed hard to sign him in January. Lots of clubs keeping tabs but Juve really don't want to sell.
Vlahovic has five Serie A goals in seven games but has cut a frustrated and isolated figure at times in games. Max Allegri has denied he's unhappy or there's any personal issues between manager and player. Those close to Vlahovic say he's not thinking about an imminent move away.
Juventus sources say they are no plans to sell Vlahovic mid-season and firmly deny they are preparing for a summer sale, too. But there are clubs monitoring the situation. PSG see a window of opportunity next summer if Juventus don't qualify for the Champions League.

Sally Yates’ independent report into the NWSL is damning. It finds systematic emotional abuse and sexual misconduct.
Yates writes: “Abuse in the NWSL is rooted in a deeper culture in women’s soccer, beginning in youth leagues, that normalizes verbally abusive coaching and blurs boundaries between coaches and players.”
Report comes after Sinead Farrelly and Mana Shim came forward with allegations of abuse and sexual coercion against ex-coach Paul Riley, who was sacked by North Carolina Courage. Christy Holly (Racing Louisville) and Rory Dames (Chicago Red Stars) also part of investigation.

Chelsea plan to pay more than Christopher Nkunku's €60m release clause to stop suitors joining race next summer. When Nkunku signed new deal, release clause negotiated 'low' (below market value) to ensure he could still leave despite extending. This was at Nkunku's request.
In essence, Nkunku wants to focus on the World Cup and do a full season with Leipzig. It's smart of Chelsea to offer above the release clause (and still below market value) now before his price goes up higher.
Under that eventuality, Leipzig could demand more to fast-track sale or tell #CFC to try their luck when release clause active. Negotiation is intriguing because Leipzig want max fee rather than only release clause. But they also know #CFC not be only suitor prepared to pay more.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez doubles down on plans to pursue a European Super League at club's AGM. "Football needs professional, modern & transparent management... we must stop the deterioration of football. That's why we offered the Super League."
Perez argues ESL not 'closed' with 25% of places based on merit. Refutes Nasser Al Khelaifi claims that Real are scared by new rivals. "[He] said Real launched the Super League because we're afraid of competition. We remind him who Real is, the most successful club in history."
Perez uses a tennis analogy to argue why big European teams should play more often. "Nadal & Djokovic have played against 59 times. Is this boring? Real Madrid & Liverpool have only met nine times in 67 years. What's the point of depriving fans of these matches?"

Bit more on Christopher Nkunku. Despite denials from certain parties, still told a medical did take place in late August and that Nkunku (without signing anything) has verbally indicated he is happy with Chelsea’s terms. There is no agreement yet between Chelsea and Leipzig.
Chelsea do have the option of triggering the £58.2m release clause which is active next summer. When Nkunku signed his new contract over the summer it was because he didn’t want a change before the World Cup.
PSG did also consider buying Nkunku back but have decided against it for now. The Chelsea medical doesn’t stop other clubs entering the race. But it makes #CFC frontrunners.
