Rana Ayyub has come up with a new propaganda piece in @washingtonpost wherein she lamented the positive outlook of global powers towards India.

She resorted to lies, half-truths, and surmises and also pleaded with other nations to act against the Indian govt.

My rebuttal: (1/n)

First, she raked up the ‘Karnataka hijab row’ in the hopes of making international readers, who are increasingly concerned about the killings of women in Iran over mandatory hijab, sympathetic to the cause.

She then made a brief reference to the recent split SC verdict on the Karnataka Hijab row, with the false claim that one of the judges ruled about the non-essentiality of hijab in Islam.

In reality, none of the judges decided whether or not hijab was an essential practice. (3/n)

A few years ago, a realisation dawned on me that I might have been a bully during my school days.

While much of the banter was friendly, one in particular was clearly different.

The student was a Telegu who somehow came to study in a remote district of Tripura.

She looked different and stayed silent for most of the time. The girl would sit on the last bench and had no friends.

Unfortunately, as a 14-year-old, I was part of a group of students who mocked her for 'not being one of us.,'

It took several years to come to terms with the fact that my behaviour towards her was motivated by the fact that she was a non- Bengali.

It was extremely hard to admit that I have mocked someone due to their distinct ethnicity.

This fanatic abused Hindu deities and now planning to play the victim card on the world stage.

“I will meet representatives from Buddhist nations and expose the true plight of Indian Buddhists to them. They will rally after us,” he threatened to defame India abroad.

Rajratna Ambedkar lamented how the socially backward communities have not completely disassociated from their Hindu identity.

"Flaunt your Buddhist identity. In that way, you can connect to the global audience," he suggested.

The man in the picture is N Arvind, the aide to the Head priest at the Sri Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy Temple in Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu.

He has been undergoing treatment in Bengaluru since July. Arvind's family has exhausted all their savings and needs our help now. (1/n)

The 30-year-old used to live on the generosity of the temple devotees and had no health insurance.

Local doctors in Krishnagiri had treated him initially but his condition deteriorated thereafter.

He was shifted to Manipal Hospital (Old Airport Branch) in Bengaluru.
