It was in this background that Guru Golwalkar met Gandhi on 12th Sept, 1947 at Delhi, to dispel any misapprehension he had with respect to the RSS. While strongly denying that the RSS stood for violence he stuck to his guns on the right of Hindus to defend themselves.
Pyarelal Nayyar passed away on this day in 1982.
