For earning we will start with simple card and then will discuss other cards too

💳#AmexIndia Platinum Travel card
Base earning - 1 MR/Rs 50

Milestone 1 - Spend 1.90 Lac
Milestone 2 - Spend 4 Lac

When you have spent ₹4 Lac you get 48,000 MR points and 10k Taj voucher

Here's a step-by-step guide to redeeming those points for a #BusinessClass seat

#AmexIndia have many Airline & Hotel partner but here we goint to transfer MR points to #MarriottBonvoy
With current 30% bonus 48k MR becomes 62,400 Marriott points

Marriott's bonus is valid until 31st Oct 22, thereafter you can optimize spends with 3X reward multipliers to get 60k MR points with the approx 4 Lac spend
In case you get new card, you also get 10k MR points as joining bonus

Marriott points can be redeemed for free hotel nights, but here we'll use airline transfer option

Marriott points transfer to airmiles at 3 to 1 for most airlines, but if you transfer in chunks of 60k MB, you get an additional 5k airmiles, so 60k MB points are worth 25k airmiles

For our #Japan trip, we'll be flying #JapanAirlines #JAL, an oneworld airline with direct flights from India.

We're transferring points to #AlaskaAirlines, another oneworld member for redemption

Get your Alaska FFP number before you start

After that, go to Marriott Airline transfer link, click on transfer points, select Alaska, enter FFP number & 60k points, 5k bonus miles won't show here.

60k Marriott points are converted to 25k airmiles and same miles are required for Business class flights to #Japan

On Alaska's booking page, choose oneway, mark using miles, select origin DEL or BLR since they're the only airports with #JAL direct flights from India, enter destination HND, search flights for your dates, add to cart, then book for 25k miles + $30/-

You can also book fr any destinations within Japan or South Korea with $10 extra. You can take stopover at Tokyo while booking other destination. Use Advance search & multi city for booking stopover

Some times flights not shown through multi city option. Use chat or call to book

Don't book round trips, instead book onward and return separately for better redemption flexibility. Occasionally, it won't show round-trip flights even when seats are available for one leg
