'Siribhoovalaya' is a unique work of multi-lingual literature by Kumudendu Muni, a 8th century Kannada #Jain monk. It contains valuable information about various sciences including mathematics, chemistry, physics, metallurgy, astronomy, medicine, history, space travel etc #Thread
The work is unique as it doesn't use Alphabets, but is composed entirely in Kannada numerics called Anka lipi. Totally there are 26 chapters in big volumes, of which only 3 have been decoded. This method of writing/coding represents 18 scripts & over 700 languages! (2)
It is said to be composed in several languages including Sanskrit, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Prakrit etc apart from Kannada. Different languages can be realised by assigning different alphabets to different numbers. (3)
The Saangathya metre of Kannada poetry is employed in the work. It uses numerals 1 through 64 and employs various patterns or bandhas in a frame of 729 (27×27) squares to represent alphabets of these varied languages & scripts. (4)
Kumudhendu has called it "Sarvabhasahamayi Karnataka Kavya" and "Vishwakavya". He expounds that many philosophies which existed in the Jain classics are eloquently and skillfully interpreted in the work. It is a picturesque classic with "Mangalaprabruta" as the 1st chapter. (5)
It is found that the information & calculations about the use of Base 9 and Base 2 systems used in the present computer system are found in Siribhoovalaya. This leads one to think that the knowledge of 'Computerisation' existed in the Ancient period. (6)
The book is said to have around 6,00,000 verses, nearly 6 times bigger than the ancient Indian epic Mahabharata. The author emphasizes that the rare Sanskrit scholars of Rigveda, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavadgeeta, Tattvarthasutra and Rishimandala are found in his work. (7)
In 1913CE, Dharnendra Pandit who had the only copy of Siribhoovalaya passed away. The possession of this great work came in the hands of Pandit Yellapa Shastry. After 30 long years of research, he was able to decipher it partly & published a volume in 1953 & 2nd one in 1955 (8)
Yellappa Shastry along with other eminent scholars like Karlamangalam Srikantaiah & Ananthasubbaraya came out with various publications & lectures in mid 1900s. They gave varied opinions but did not perceive it's study to the core. Hence it lied in a dark phase for sometime. (9)
Y.K.Mohan of Pustaka Shakti with the help of many admirers of Siribhoovalaya has printed & brought it out attractively. It contains 8 chapters revised by the scholars. It has documented the opinions expressed by the scholars & details of editing by T.V.Venkatachala Shastry. (10)
Karlamangalam Srikantaiah, the editor of the first edition, has claimed that the work contains instructions for travel in water & space. It is also said that the work contains information about the production of Modern weapons. (11)
S.Srikanta Sastri has commented that this work is of great importance in the study of Kannada language & Literature, and the literatures of Sanskrit, Prakrit, Tamil & Telugu. herenow4u.net/index.php?id=1… (12)
Srikanta Sastri also said this is an important source for the study of Indian Mathematics, Development of Physics, Chemistry & the Life Sciences in India. It also helps in the study of Sculpture & Iconography. (13)
He adds, if the versions of Ramayan, Mahabharat, Bhagavadgita, Rig Veda and other ancient texts can be decoded, a comparison of those versions with the present day versions would be rewarding. Some Jain works which have been lost may be recovered from this work. (14)
Professor Anil Jain has presented a comprehensive analysis of this publication by Pustak Shakti slideshare.net/mobile/AnilJai…
Interestingly and rightfully he calls the script of Siribhoovalaya as KES - Kumudendu Encryption Script. (15)

'Shree Vardhaman Shakrastav Stotra' is a collection of 273 Adjectives that emerged spontaneously from the heart of Shakrendra (Indra) Maharaja when he comes to know of Tirthankar's birth.
Sharing some interesting Adjectives in this #Thread 👇🏼
This stotra was virtually gifted by Shakrendra to Acharya Siddhasen Divakar Surishwarji in the 5th century CE for benefit of mankind. It was lost in the passage of time & rediscovered by Shri Chinubhai Ratilal Doshi from the Ancient Gyan Bhandar in Kavi #Jain Tirth, #Gujarat
3. The word SHAKRASTAV means 'Shakra' (Shakrendra, ruler of 64 Indras of Heaven)+'Stav' (Stavan/hymns) in praise of Lord. The 273 Adjectives are divided into 11 paragraphs known as ‘Alavas’
