A Brief Story

The impact of the global pandemic was underestimated by most Western governments including Canada. The response was mismanaged, first with laissez-faire measures, disbelief and denial, then by panic buying and public health measures including lockdowns in 2020.

This was followed by wishful thinking that vaccines would solve the pandemic problem. In 2021, pro-vaccine public health messaging was directed to minimize public sentiment toward NPIs including Safe Air & Masks.

This “vax & relax” anti-NPI “return to normal” messaging continued to build even after it became apparent to governments that vaccines could not & would not stop the pandemic.

Finally, in 2022, mask mandates were dropped & public masking dropped from 80% to 5%.

The reckless 2022 pretend "CoVID is over", hide the data strategy, & mandate-less mask-less policy led to mass infection. Combined with non-sterilizing vaccines, it also led to the accelerated & relentless evolution of SARS2 toward more immune escape & higher transmissibility.

This produced an endless swarm of evolutionarily fit variants leading to a fast-tracked global state of hyperendemicity by the fall of 2022.

Despite the continued political push against all reason to spin CoVID as “MILD” by governments, business, the media & other interests, some not benign, the public is now increasingly aware that CoVID is actually a persistent & deadly disease with severe long-term consequences.

More & more friends & family members and co-workers are now infected, re-infected, dead or disabled. And while MSM is still minimizing, the truth is showing up more & more on social media. It's all around us. You simply can't miss the dead & disabled anymore.

So Now What?

The public pendulum will swing back toward Safe Air & Masks. It can’t not unless we’re prepared to accept an apocalyptic future on par with Mad Max.

The public will once again be ahead of govt only this time they will know who & what they can trust.

Despite lobbying by special interests, govts will now be forced to step up. CoVID cases & other data can be hidden for a while but downstream consequences of mass infections, reinfections, Long CoVID, hospitalizations & deaths caused by vax & relax public health policy cannot be.

It’s simply not sustainable. Productivity is down, hospitals are overwhelmed, kids are missing school, and the labour force is rapidly shrinking. The public needs to lead government to action.

Government intervention is required to save healthcare systems, healthcare costs, family finances, supply chain disruptions, school systems, labour shortages, inflation, interest rates, GDP, taxes, government support costs and the economy.

In the Safe Air world, governments and public health agencies including WHO, CDC and Public Health Agency of Canada were very slow to acknowledge airborne transmission. Some provincial governments & public heath agencies still haven’t.

While hospitals are generally well-ventilated, schools & businesses often are not. In 🇨🇦, federal funds transferred to provinces to provide a pandemic response including Safe Air were largely squandered or withheld as there was no federal oversight or strategic direction given.

In the Mask world, rewards went to first movers who profiteered in the opening days securing offshore product & existing suppliers who received long-term government contracts for manufacture or distribution.

Over 100 🇨🇦companies entered the mask or respirator business to answer the govts call to action. Only a few remain & they are struggling to survive with hopes that governments take action & the public finally masks up again. It will likely be the reverse, public first.

CoVID is an endothelial vasculopathy. It causes microclots, & structural changes & inflammation of the lining of every blood vessel in the human body. CoVID also disrupts immune systems. 😢

The disruption manifests in many ways at least one of which is higher severity of RSV & Flu. Demand for pediatric hospital beds & medicines will be exceptionally high this winter. We’re already seeing it.

Public demand for children's respirators is picking up now - we love our kids! ♥️

Public demand for respirators spiked suddenly last winter when Omicron first hit in Wave 5. Then in a flash it was gone again & virtually disappeared with the disappearance of mask mandates.

This wave, Wave 8, isn't a wave. It's just the continuation of Wave 7, a wave that has not receded & will likely never recede without public health intervention.

Mass infections & re-infections & hospitalizations & mass disabling will continue unabated now until we collectively decide to do something about it. Like wear respirators.

Someday, when we get cases lower, & we upgrade our HVAC infrastructure, we can rely more on Safe Air & less on Respirators. I look forward to that day.
