🔮 Prediction: 16th

⭐️ Star Man: Pontus Engblom

Summary: as predicted, poor recruitment cost SUN, conceding 27 goals more than any other side & taking just 2 points from 15 away fixtures.

⭐️ Star Man: Viljormur Davidsen

Summary: unfortunately, the strength of the defence wasn't enough to keep them afloat. The worst home record & the fewest goals scored contributed to their sink.

⭐️ Star Man: Robin Simovic

Summary: I expected Tashreeq Matthews to be a huge factor in VAR's safety after 11GI in 2021, but he & their season fell short of expectation.

Summary: an impressive 11-game unbeaten run & 10-game unbeaten home run turned their season around. As predicted, Diego Campos stepped up without Edvardsen.

⭐️ Star Man: Jonathan Levi

Summary: a side with real reason to be disappointed, the loss of Adegbenro proving to be more than they could handle. Nyman failed to fill the gap left.

⭐️ Star Man: Marcus Mathisen

Summary: I thought that Mitov Nilsson & Kouakou would keep IKS out the play-off, the latter meeting expectations as their top scorer (7).

🔮 Prediction: 15th
🗓️ Defining Fixture: 3-2W, HIF (H)
⭐️ Star Man: Marcus Antonsson

Summary: despite worries re. their recruitment, Johansson & Antonsson stepped-up in style, the latter ending the season as the league's 2nd top scorer (21).

Summary: although they were forced to let go of a lot of 2021's defence, MAIF signed fantastically & ended 2022 with the best away defensive record.

Summary: the new recruits did indeed flourish in their first full season, Berg & Wendt settling into the Allsvenskan scene throughout. Now to push on in 2023.

Summary: an absolutely horrendous spell of late season form saw them drop far below expectations, the loss of Ahmedhodzic undeniably playing a major part. Work to be done.

Summary: have a wealth of attacking talent but need that final piece of the puzzle to push for a medal place in 2023. I'd offer to help, but they've blocked me. 😅

⭐️ Star Man: Nicolás Stefanelli

Summary: although the defence lived up to expectations at home (=2nd best record), a lack of consistency on their travels hindered them. A busy Summer-period awaits.

⭐️ Star Man: Lars Sätra

Summary: a sensational season, their progress hugely helped by the loan signing of Nanasi. Their defence was formidable throughout, conceding just 7 at home.

⭐️ Star Man: Nahir Besara

Summary: the signings predictably helped HAM push on in 2022, Veton Berisha turning heads despite failing to set the league alight just yet. Huge potential.

Summary: how this side haven't won the title this year is endlessly surprising to me - all the components of champions, but gelling issues have caused big upsets.
