Director-General in the department of Small Business Development Lindokuhle Mkhumane says government seeks to develop a dedicated #fundingmechanism to help support township and rural economy in the current financial year. IMS

#fundingmechanism Mkhumane was briefing the National Council Of Provinces today on plans to stimulate the economy in the country, IMS
#fundingmechanism where he indicated businesses in townships and rural areas will be supported through the existing programme of the Industrial Parks Revitalisation Programme. IMS
#fundingmechanism He told MPs that a service provider , Genesis Analytics has been appointed in September 2022 for mapping and identifying opportunities in 20 townships. IMS
#fundingmechanism The goal is to sample 52 townships from all districts and metros across the country, in a project that is expected to be completed by March next year. IMS
#fundingmechanism Mkhumane says businesses in some provinces will also be funded through commercial banks so that progress can be made in funding them. IMS
