not verbatim, but close
Release of the early vote will be delayed by an hour in Harris County...so after 8pm when the polls close. They will have to process provisional ballots separately from regular ballots 1/2 @KHOU#developing
MORE from Clifford Tatum, Harris County Election Administrator #developing
the processing for provisional takes a bit longer b/c there's a qualifying process... when polls close at 7pm they place a clerk at the end of the line, a clerk is placed behind him. @KHOU MORE
from Clifford Tatum, Harris County Elections #developing
anybody who comes in behind that clerk will have to vote a provisional ballot. the provisional ballots dont have to be cured in the normal manner, but it all depends on the court's order and any challenges @KHOU
🚨🚨 #developing
The Texas Attorney General has now intervened in the suit to extend the hours... asking to dissolve the order.
I am having flashback to Florida... 2000, 2014, 2016...
🚨
And then the Texas Supreme Court weighed in… see below @KHOU 👇
8:33pm Clifford Tatum, Elections
"...any provisional votes cast from 7-8pm based on that extended order would not be counted. No, they will not be counted. That's the reason you segregate them so if the court orders they should not be counted, they will not be counted." @KHOU

when asked about the issues at Seabrooke earlier today, he didn't really have an answer at the moment... @KHOU
@KHOU more Clifford Tatum, Harris County Elections
now our process turns to waiting for the election results to come in from polling locations. as they start being driven in by the polling place judges, we will begin tabulating the votes that come in. @KHOU
other notes from the Harris County Elections Administrator
I think the extension of hours was from the places that weren't open on time - that was about 4 places. I'm told by staff there was an order that extended voting in 2017
(not a quote) @KHOU
meaning, the provisional ballots cast between 7 and 8pm tonight will not be counted (for now) @KHOU

...I am representing the Harris County Republican Party and I'm tired of this crap going on in our party. voter suppression is when you can't go into a poll, when you dont have paper to record your ballot... @KHOU#developing (not an exact quote)
