Seems like some officials in EU* hope that when this iteration of russian empire is defeated in Ukraine, russians repent, renounce putin, apologize before Ukrainians, "dumb colonial" Ukrainians will surely be happy to be "friends" w/ russians & business can be made again->
*now that it's clear that russian victory is impossible & scale of genocide perpetrated by russia can't be hidden,
What will happen is that russians WILL NEVER apologize (not that anyone needs apology from them, we just need none of them inturding into our lives anymore ever) will never repent, instead russians will cry that they were THE REAL VICTIM of "evil putin" & demand Western money->
I try to explain it, but I guess ppl aren't really aware of "usual" #NarcissisticPersonalityDisorder, not to speak of chauvinism which is extreme & truly murderous narcissism, so not many ppl really would even take this seriously, but nonetheless it's true->
For russians it's all about escaping shame & being in the center of the spotlight. What will happen is that russians will declare themselves "the first victim" (as if it isn't them who terrorize and murder us), devalue Ukrainian victims & demand Western support which they'll get
