An overview of the daily events in the war between Russia and Ukraine. Of course, today we focus on a historic day, the liberation of a large part of Kherson & Mykolaiv oblast and #Kherson city.
Also a brief look at other front lines.
1/X
We start with the daily #Russian losses, captured and damaged equipment.
Tomorrow we will probably see 80.000+, insane.
+710 men personnel
+10 tanks
+14 APCs
+12 artillery systems
After today's liberations, the first lend-lease equipment started to appear. This is around #Dudchany. One BTR-80 is seen.
In #kherson a Mi-8 is (re)captured from Russian troops. Fun fact: this helicopter was reportedly earlier left behind when Russians took over #Kherson and now recaptured.
Over to the general events. First i want to mention the fundraiser i am doing for the 27th Pechersk brigade. We reached 6000$ but i am aiming for 10.000$ so we can buy two cars for them. Please consider some help!
โ Ukraine liberated the right bank of the Dnipro.
โ KHERSON CITY IS UNDER ๐บ๐ฆ CONTROL!
โ Today we visually confirmed: Kalynivka, Blahodatne, Romanovo, Bilozerka, Klapaya, Chaikyne, Lvivski Otruby, Vysoke, Shyroka Balka, Komyshany, Pryozerne...
...Beryslav, Chornobaivka, Lymanets, Tyahynka, Urozhaine, Muzykivka, Tokarivka, Barativka, Novoraisk, Yelizavetivka, Yasnaya Polyana, Zmiivka, Virivka and Novovasilivka.
โก๏ธThere are some small pockets of Russian resistance of units left behind.
โก๏ธAFU now cleaning up all cities.
Extra liberation pictures. Ukraine is one with the people.
โก๏ธRussian forces have blown up the Antonivsky bridge, and the bridge connecting to the Nova Kakhovska dam/HPP. Making sure AFU cant advance.
โก๏ธFor now it is to dangerous for civilians to return to Kherson region due to massive mining from Russians. Cleanup work needs to be done.
Ukrainian Ministry of Defense confirmed it has control over the whole right bank of the Dnipro.
Tomorrow we will calmly analyze what possible next steps are for the Ukrainian army. Danilov has clearly indicated that, according to Ukraine, the war will not come to a standstill, but will continue.
"There will be no freezing of the war, we are not a cold store"
โก๏ธFighting is difficult in this area. Heavy fighting continues in the area of #Opytny, Bakhmut and the eastern outskirts of Bakhmut.
โก๏ธRussian sources claim a breaktrough in Opytne. We are not aware of anything. Seems like another #Pavlivka/#Bilohorivka.
โก๏ธLocals report fighting in #Novoselivske, #Kuzemivka and #Volodymyrivka. They also claim that Russian forces have retreated about 700m from their positions in that area, leaving the towns behind which are now liberated by the AFU. We need visual confirmation!
Now i go out to the bar and have a drink or two, or three or mabey ten ๐บ๐ฆ๐๐คญ
