Watching the @abcnews run as many drag stories as it can find in the lead up to #TransAwarenessWeek is the train wreck we all expect.
Anyway, let's celebrate in spite of this kind of terrible media.
I've given up on the ABC or any other (not very) progressive media outlet working out that trans people are not just everyone they see in a sparkly outfit.

@abcnews The problem is that I think some of the queer folks that they get on here don't know the difference themselves.
What they're really searching for is this. And they need to completely and utterly fuck off.
@abcnews If you don't know the difference between a trans person dressing up to go out, and someone wearing drag, then please... I urge you to educate yourself. If your knowledge of trans people comes from Drag Race, educate yourself.
I wish whoever programs the ABC had some shame on it or did something to change it.
Are there queer people who work at the @abcnews or ABC in general, who actually do know the difference?
