Singh joined FTX as its Director of Engineering in 2019. Prior to that, he was part of its sister organization Alameda Research, which is at the center of the current controversy. He had joined Alameda in 2017. More on the controversy later. 2/6

Singh’s resume is top notch. He studied at Crystal Springs Uplands School, a top private school in California. He graduated from the University of California, Berkley, with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and computer science. He had also worked as at Facebook. 3/6

Believe it or not, Singh “controlled” the code, the exchange's matching engine, and funds at FTX. "If they moved them around or input their own numbers, I'm not sure who would notice," someone, on condition of anonymity, said. 4/6

He was also among the nine housemates of SBF who helped the erstwhile billionaire to run FTX. They reportedly lived in a luxury mansion in the Bahamas. What happened in the mansion, no one wants to know! 5/6

Controversy: FTX's fall began when CoinDesk reported Alameda is dependent on FTT, FTX's native coin. This raised questions about FTX's liquidity. Binance then wanted to acquire it, but decided against it. FTX has now filed for bankruptcy. 6/6
