#givingtuesday is just 2 weeks away! At Juvenile Law Center, we believe that young people are experts on their own lives, and their lived experiences should inform policies that affect them. Since 2008, our Youth Advocacy Program has prepared young people to lead advocacy
and policy reform efforts in their local communities and beyond. Our youth advocates create projects that THEY believe are important, leading to critical policy change by directly speaking to lawmakers, media outlets, and decision-makers across the country.
With their skills and expertise, they have created many resources and tool kits that have been used across the country. This year for #givingtuesday Juvenile Law Center seeks to raise $50,000 to support our Advocates for Youth Justice & Advocates Transforming Youth Systems
cohorts. Your support will be instrumental in sustaining our youth advocates as they continue to speak up to transform these systems.
Join us on Giving Tuesday, November 29th, for a special message from Marcía Hopkins & one of our youth leaders where they’ll discuss some of the pressing issues that our youth advocacy cohorts plan to address in the coming year!
