#givingtuesday is just 2 weeks away! At Juvenile Law Center, we believe that young people are experts on their own lives, and their lived experiences should inform policies that affect them. Since 2008, our Youth Advocacy Program has prepared young people to lead advocacy Image and policy reform efforts in their local communities and beyond. Our youth advocates create projects that THEY believe are important, leading to critical policy change by directly speaking to lawmakers, media outlets, and decision-makers across the country.

Breaking: The move to allow children from Philadelphia to be sent a thousand plus miles away to facilities in Texas is unconscionable. inquirer.com/news/judge-ord… Sending children thousands of miles away from families and communities is completely contrary to DHS’s mission and vision, negatively impacts family and community ties, may increase recidivism, and is expensive.
