José Irizarry accepts that he’s known as the most corrupt agent in DEA history. But he says he hardly acted alone.

Now Irizarry is accusing fellow agents of joining him in skimming millions from money laundering stings to fund a joyride of luxury travel, parties and prostitutes.
Irizarry told the @AP that dozens of agents, prosecutors, informants and sometimes smugglers were on the “Team America” joyride that included stops in Caribbean strip joints, Amsterdam’s red-light district and a Colombian yacht with a dozen prostitutes. apne.ws/rJarFsf
Irizarry told the AP his story in a series of interviews before beginning a 12-year federal prison sentence. He pleaded guilty in 2020 to 19 corruption counts, including money laundering and bank fraud. apne.ws/rJarFsf
