Even though one of my main postures is to be neutral on this space and not fall into toxic maximalism, I can't stay quiet about #Solana and #SBF's fraud

I acknowledge that until #Ethereum becomes cheap for everyone, it is plausible that most DeFi users move to #Avalanche 🧵
**SOL LIED ABOUT TXs**

One of the main reasons builders chose solana in first place were the metrics.

Of course anyone would have chosen the chain that claims having 1 billion tps, since it would guarantee a flawless functioning on every dapp built there.

But did you know that Solana's metrics were fake?

Basically it counted consensus messages as transactions. More technical details on it can be found on this Medium article

**ETHEREUM CAN'T HANDLE EVERYONE RIGHT NOW**

I believe that #Ethereum is the DeFi king and will continue to be so for at least 6 years (at worst), since it was the first chain to ever have smart contracts and dapps.
Problem is that most builders that came from Solana have bigger losses thanks to #SBF and its huge ponzi, and sadly it is PRETTY expensive to build on #Ethereum right now.

So the most reasonable thing would be to move to a cheap chain with a receptive community to reduce costs.
**WHAT ABOUT #CARDANO?**

I really tried to give Cardano a chance, but I think that every single builder in this space knows how slow the development on Cardano has been.

Solana builders wouldn't like to take a long period of time to recover. And they also won't learn Haskell.
**SO AVALANCHE IS THE ONLY POSSIBILITY?**

It's either staying on Solana or moving to Avalanche.

SmartBCH could have EASILY handled the amount of users coming from Solana, but then the Coinflex situation happened.

I can't even tell if Polygon is trying to be an L1 or an L2.
There's really no other chain that can take those builders in a cheap and sustainable way, so my bet is that anyone who leaves Solana after this, will most likely find success on Avalanche.
I hope that, in case that happens, @VitalikButerin acknowledges that Ethereum needs to get cheaper ASAP.

We need more builders with innovative ideas (not just forks after forks)

TheMerge did not meet the expectations but I still see possibilities on Ethereum being affordable.
And no, I don't think that Avalanche will flip Ethereum any sooner. But it can become the second most used DeFi chain in no time if it keeps going the way it is going.
