Supporters of the #IHRA definition of antisemitism insist that it is not about silencing criticism of Israel. But in the Adopt IHRA Coalition's list of 50 "examples" of "antisemitic tweets" that violate IHRA, a significant number of them are just… criticisms of Israel 👇

Parliament's foreign affairs committee has issued a report on the situation facing human rights defenders and journalists. Yet it almost entirely ignores Israeli violations in a year when journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was murdered and 6 Pal. human rights groups were shut down.
The report has a section on the killings of journalists, but it does not mention Shireen Abu Akleh who was killed by Israeli forces over 6 months ago. The report also includes a list of tributes to 28 human rights defenders, but the list does not include any Palestinians.
Over 1 year ago, Israel criminalized 6 leading Palestinian human rights NGOs on bogus charges. But there is only one brief mention of this in the report (thanks to HRW's @FaridaDeif), & shockingly the committee members "are of different views" on this attack on civil society.
Armoured vehicles from Canada landed today in Haiti to prop up illegitimate Prime Minister Ariel Henry. Henry has been calling for international military intervention, something which is opposed by Haitian civil society. cbc.ca/news/politics/…
“People also have denounced Western nations for continuing to back Henry, despite the prime minister’s decision last year to indefinitely postpone presidential and legislative elections, as well as a constitutional referendum, amid the political crisis.” aljazeera.com/amp/news/2022/…
“Canada […] prefer[s] to support somebody who is massacring his people, who is in alliance with gangs […] who is supporting corruption and impunity, rather than listening to the cry of Haitian people for democracy and for respect of their human rights.” cbc.ca/news/politics/…
