Another suspicious aspect of #FTXGate: SBF raised billions from top tier VC funds despite chaotic if not totally non-existent financial records and many obvious red flags surrounding its operations. I think this could be a potential indication of CIA involvement. Brief 🧵:
First bankruptcy court filing by FTX's new CEO identifies welter of insane issues within the company and Alameda. Much of this would've been clear to VCs. What's more, fundraising proposals submitted to these firms consisted of crap self-authored excel spreadsheets.
Some interpret VCs still investing despite this as sign they bought into media-created mythos surrounding SBF. I'm not so sure. VCs might not always make good investments but their due diligence is usually very strong indeed, and this stuff would typically make them run a mile.
It's often forgotten for example that Theranos failed to generate much VC funding (and only then from lesser players) as they refused to disclose how their tech worked (because it didn't). Same with WeWork, as VC firms knew it was a crap idea with huge risk of failure.
This suggests FTX's backers had faith for other reasons. Now, bear in mind the CIA's VC wing, In-Q-Tel, is highly influential. Each dollar it invests in a small business typically is matched by at least $15 from elsewhere. And it doesn't always disclose what it invests in.
FTX's financial opacity, 134 shell companies, and now missing employees (if they ever existed), makes company resemble a front for something. And you don't operate as it did for years and get away with it without someone or something powerful vouching for you along the way.

In late September 1963, Sylvia Odio was visited at home in Dallas by three men, one of whom was introduced as "Leon Oswald". When President John F Kennedy was assassinated in that city two months later, she realised this individual was Lee Harvey Oswald...#CIAKilledJFK
Her other visitors were right-wing Cubans, who over the course of a 20 minute conversation conducted largely in Spanish told Sylvia they were friends of her father, then-imprisoned in Cuba, and "Leon Oswald" might joing the anti-Castro resistance movement....#CIAKilledJFK
The very next day, one of her Cuban visitors telephoned to say "Leon Oswald" was a "kind of nuts" former Marine and crack marksman who thought President Kennedy should've been killed after the failed CIA-orchestrated Bay of Pigs invasion #CIAKilledJFK
Must-read thread here. It bears repeating - literally *every* commercial venure in which @SBF_FTX was involved, was deeply criminal. As such, the likelihood @_AidForUkraine was a scam is essentially certain. The only question is how.
It very much appears SBF was effectively a frontman acting on the behalf of others. Most business decisions were conducted via private chat, and *emojis* (!!!), with messages set to automatically delete after a "short period". Someone (or something) else was actually in charge.
Notably, it's unclear who was actually employed by which company, and when. Some employees cannot now be located - did they ever exist in the first place, or have they been disappeared one way or another?
Because OF. FUCKING. COURSE. @TheIntercept was taking millions off Sam Bankman-Fried to run PR for his "biosafety and pandemic prevention" initiatives, and the collapse of FTX and his exposure as a criminal has left a "significant hole" in its budget.
Ah well, back to sending bizarre, borderline threatening begging letters week in, week out again.
Must-read thread here from @Angie_Rasmussen on some of SBF's biosecurity investments, including $1.2 million given to a pair of lunatic to produce a hysterical whitepaper calling for the banning of virology/virologists. I'm not making this up...
THREAD: Some people are charging off in wild directions re FTX/Ukraine, way further than existing evidence. This is extremely unhelpful, as detractors can discredit and suppress accusations of wrongdoing right out the gate. Here's what we *actually* know. Please dig further:
On March 14th, @_AidForUkraine was launched by Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation and FTX. At this point, Kiev had reportedly already received - and spent - over $100 million in bitcoin donations. By April 1st, Aid for Ukraine allegedly raised $70 million.
On April 6th, @_AidForUkraine revised this figure to "over $60 million" in donations, for reasons unclear. This total has remained unchanged ever since, despite the portal being open all along. On April 14th, the first breakdown of spending was published.
For several months, British spooks (including 'ex' MI6 and current military intelligence) have been constructing a partisan army, for deployment against/in Crimea, and it seems fulfilling the blueprints put together back in April @TheGrayzoneNews reported on October 10th.
This training is led by @PrevailPartners, founded by former Special Boat Squadron commander Justin Hedges, and delivered on behalf of SSU Odessa. They originally wanted $600k per fighter. Nice work, if you can get it...
Olivia, here quietly cheering @TheGrayzoneNews' invitation to appear at Web Summit 2022 being rescinded, was author of the very first mainstream hatchet job on critics of the White Helmets, back in late 2017. It was a blueprint that would be repeated over and over again...
Relying on variety of US/UK government funded sources w. close connections to White Helmets, including Syria Campaign (key funder and promoter) and Bellingcat, Solon viciously attacked @EvaKBartlett@VanessaBeeley and @timand2037, offering no evidence other than "they're wrong."
Not only that, Olivia didn't offer a right of reply to the people she smeared, @guardian promptly closed article's comments section in response to backlash, and failed to respond to formal communications from those named and shamed (for, erm, questioning mainstream narratives).
