THERE ARE NO “LONE TERRORISTS”.

The guy who planned and planted the bomb at the bus station in Israel, was not some “lone terrorist” as some are saying.
1)

No lone terrorist would be able to put together such a bomb, nor get the Semtex (*Plastic explosive) or a proper detonator, or to know how to wire it and set a timer or a remote detonation situation, without training and instruction.

And no lone terrorist would have found it easy to surveil the locations for all the hours needed to know when would be the most effective time to leave a bomb."

Let’s get something straight once and for all.

Terrorists and those that facilitate them have no rights. Not one international treaty affords them any rights, any benefits.

There is no right to be seen as criminals deserving of trials. There is no right to any protection that combatants representing national forces have.

The objective of terrorists, whether organized groups or so-called “lone wolves” (though I do not believe there is really any such thing) is to attack, name, kill innocent civilians as the primary target, to sow terror in civilian populations,

Parsha Toldot is really a drama between two brothers qnd allegorically between two peoples and two approaches to defining civilization and it is a story that is repeated throughout history.
1)

There are lots of interpretations of the relationship between Jacob and Esau. One can look simply at the history as illuminated by the archeological evidence. One can interpret the story as Christians have since the writings of Paul.
2)

One can interpret it as the struggle between Jews and Rome as did our sages in the Jerusalem Talmud whose more recent history was filled with that ideological and physical conflict.

Thanksgiving in the USA is rather unique in the world. I do not mean that other nations do not have days where by tradition, they give thanks for a harvest or for some other historical event.

But Thanksgiving in the USA, the Third Thursday in the month of November, is unique in that it is a Legal Holiday, and in recent years it has become more of a common American tradition than any other holiday in the year.

Thursday, November 26, 1789, President George Washington issued a proclamation for “a day of public thanksgiving and prayer.” In 1863, President Abraham Lincoln encouraged Americans to recognize the last Thursday of November as “a day of Thanksgiving.”
