Tonight the branch members agreed to a motion that I, as the President of our ALP branch, may commence lobbying on behalf of the branch to seek @MrKRudd ‘s Media RC to be established, to address the political bias& ownership &, an extra term- the toxic character attacks. 1/

The biased reporting during the Vic State Election was the final straw for our branch. In Qld we have endured biased reporting in favour of the LNP for many years. Sky AfterDark is heaving its bile of ultra wing views to regional Qld. Costello’s Cartel on the attack on 📺 & 📻 2/

It’s apparent the vicious campaign of the Murdochracy and Costello Cartel have stirred up a groundswell of extremism, which culminated in the ‘red mist’ comment on Saturday. This Vic Election should be a lay down misere’ for #IStandWithDan because he is an excellent premier. 3/

However, #IStandWithDan may be forced into minority Govt, after weeks of misinformation about him & his Govt rolling out by the hour. Matt Guy is not even a leaders bootlace, he can hardly articulate an idea, he has no big plan and his previous ministerial effort was not..,4/

bathed in glory. And whilst looks art not an issue, he looks like a dirty door to door salesman, or even worse at times, a crustacean. He looks as miserable as abandicoot. His campaign has been handedthe Murdochracy/ Costello polish, and he still hasn’t released his figures. 5/10

Media outrage about the Libs hiding the $ for them assess to their costings- no, it is look over there at Dan campaign whilst Matt ‘Brain space MIA’ Guy receives no scrutiny. The standard of political reporting in 🇦🇺 used to be of a high standard-now we’re a banana republic. 6/10

However, it’s not just political bias, it’s also the toxic character assassinations regularly handed out to free thinking people @simonahac , @Tamepunk , @Lisa_Wilkinson @Peter_Fitz @normanswan & the list goes on and on of well known people being subjected to a toxic spray. 7/10

So this lobbying I am about to take on is not in my legal standing as a barrister of the Bar Association of Qld & the Australian Bar Association. No, this is me cloaked in my political position of a branch president. Democracy is returned to the people- a redistribution of 8/10

profits to workers, a roof over your head, fair work & pay, 100% clean emery by 2030- all of these milestones are achievable, but for now the greatest threat to democracy is the blatant partisan, a bias we can defeat. The Fed Elect was bad, but the standard of reporting 9/10

during theVictorian State Election has been appalling, and the platform being given to extremists crossed the line last Saturday. My ALP branch is being proactive, to resurrect @MrKRudd ‘s RC. The question remains- will join us to save democracy? 10/10
