Viruses don’t run out of steam. They don’t run on “steam” of the literal or metaphorical types. They are not sentient. There is no fatigue. They are biological machines.
@profesterman@ABCaustralia We however have clearly been programmed from the top to believe and act fatigued. We are sentient. This does work.
@profesterman@ABCaustralia There is no evidence that children exposed to SARS-CoV-2 in utero, preschool etc will be fine. There is evidence they will not be fine. Smaller lungs, behavioural changes, possibly more vulnerable to other bacteria and viruses…
There is a difference between the Chief Medical/Health Officer and the average doc on Twitter.
Average doc on Twitter (including myself) does not carry the weight of responsibility for millions of lives. ->
Average doctors rarely set out to undermine CH/MO’s on purpose. We understand that watching from the sidelines and being the one carrying the weight are two very different things.
But there are some that do speak out and broadly fall into two groups.
Those that want added protections, and those that undermine the protections.
@Dom_Perrottet doing dangerous and dreadful things… again…
Everybody could have predicted this of course. Student doctors to get paid jobs in hospitals in a bid to ease staff shortages abc.net.au/news/2022-11-2…
Why don’t you just shorten medicine to a four year degree and be done with it? If we are flogging final year students with ward work they will have no chance to study… so might as well do exit exams end of year four…
Or hey… let’s turn medicine into a 6 month diploma on how to use the eMR and assist with ward duties… great idea/s.
Some of the studies were small, but some were not. At this point I would be more surprised if there wasn’t a massive wave of Alzheimers in the very near future.
You must try to rescue your brain.
Alzheimers is just *one of many* concerning problems that are likely to occur.
Movement disorders. Psychiatric illnesses. Neuropathies and myopathies.
Main stream media and many experts wait for “large studies” before accepting that a risk may be present.
The main disadvantage of this approach is of course the fact that obtaining this data means exposing people to risk.
Probably need to read and understand smaller studies…
Don’t forget that if an effect is common, you may not need hundreds of thousands (billions) of cases to demonstrate it.
If a smaller study indicates danger, it would be wise to at least attempt to avoid the problem. Not ignore it until thousands of people have fallen foul of the problem.
