On the compensation being sought, the affidavit said that the petitioners have other legal remedies including approaching a civil court for damages.
It was also emphasised that a strict liability on Union or State governments for administering the vaccine is not legally tenable, since the vaccines are manufactured by third-parties.
However Serum Institute had filed Rs 100 crore case against volunteer who claimed vaccine made him ill.
The Supreme Court on August 9, 2021, said a judicial order to publish data on clinical trials of COVID-19 vaccines and post-vaccination side-effects may feed vaccine hesitancy amid the pandemic. thehindu.com/news/national/…
Do you really think this is in the larger public interest? Fifty crore people have been vaccinated. By asking us to launch an enquiry now, are you not throwing doubts into the minds of the people about the vaccines. Justice L. Nageswara Rao has asked advocate Prashant Bhushan.
It is only in May 2022 that Supreme court directed the Central government to make AEFIs public, further directed the govt to take steps in order to create awareness, as well as navigate this platform for self-reporting on the matter. @pbhushan1 m.indialegallive.com/article/suprem…
Centre supports states’ vaccine mandate, tells SC it’s in public interest!
"Asking the court to dismiss the petition, the govt said an independent review of the deaths of the petitioner’s children would cast doubts on the existing AEFI mechanism"

On the study on adverse effects, the affidavit stated that out of the total doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered till November 24, a total of 2,116 serious and severe adverse events following immunization (AEFI) have been reported.

Really? @PMOIndia @narendramodi_in
#NeverSaidThis.
But this is what you said just b4 the launch of the v@x campaign regarding v@x side effects. No mention/warning whatsoever of any of the serious side effects.
Our account @awakenindiamvmt was suspended for tweeting regarding potential C0vid V@ccine adverse events and violating supposed #twitter policy on spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19.
The data we had presented is officially accepted by many peer reviewed research papers as well Government Sources like VAERS.
If reporting about peer reviewed and documented evidence of potential adverse events of Covid v@ccine is misleading then
it would be considered the highest attack on free speech and the ability to inform and educate the public. It is the right of every individual to be informed about both the risks and benefits of any medical intervention.
India’s AEFI over the years has been woefully inadequate as indicated below. We therefore cannot infer the safety of the 💉from AEFI alone. We have to therefore collate reports from across the country to get a sense of the issue
