Small 🧵 about the attack probably by a suicide drone @ engels AFB, near Saratov, Russia. Facts we know are an attack on the AFB happend at 12-05 @ 06.00, which is exactly the right time to strike such a target, between 6 & 7 in the morning, AD crews would normally be changing
Shifts around this time, which would definitly means a well planned operation, distance to the target assuming it was launched somewhere in the Kharkiv region would be +- 700KM. Indications are a TU-141 drone might have been used which would mean a flight time of approx. 1 hour.
🧵 by @Euan_MacDonald ⬇️ confirms the speed matches with a TU-141 drone, which could have been adapted by 🇺🇦 to be gps guided onto its target, and fitted with a 75 kg warhead, also possible is it might have been fitted with a downed 🇷🇺 planes transponder

To fool 🇷🇺 airdefense systems, which could partly explain why there was no reaction by 🇷🇺 airdefenses during the long flight over 🇷🇺 airspace. Tu-141 drone has a length of 14m and wingspan of 3.88 meter and would show up on any radar system operated by 🇷🇺 forces.
Satellite imagery from 4 dec. shows a large presence of long range bombers out in the open in front of the main building being prepared possibly for another strike against Ukraine. As can be seen in the no dark spot can be observed on the tarmac where the planes are parked.
On imagery from the 5th of dec. @ 07:32 however black area's can be seen on the tarmac, these can either be burn marks or oil spillage IMO, also it looks like the wing on one of the aircraft has shifted in a wierd way. All of these are indications of where the impact might have
Taken place & what damaged might have been caused, however we will have to wait till higher resolution imagery will be available to do a proper BDA.

1/11 With the fighting intensified over the last month in Bakhmut & Wagner & Mobniks pushing forward with a heavy toll, there is a 2nd thing going on in this area. 🇷🇺 forces have been constructing a large line of defenses along the Donetsk/Luhansk border.

2/11 The brunt of these defensive structures seem to be build around the T0504 Hwy between Popasna & Bakhmut. These defense resemble alot the defenses created in Kherson and seem to consist of a large AT-wall, minefield, dragonteeth obstacles and trenches.
3/11 as can be see on 🛰 images, a large trench system is being created in this area, the lack of heavy machinery in the imagery & the shape of the trenches likely means that most of the work is being done by manual labour, large stockpiles of building material can be seen

1/11 As some of my followers know we have been tracking the traffic @ the town of Myrne in south Kherson for quite some time, ever since we discovered the 🇷🇺 forces had been using it as their main supply hub since September. After their previous hub in Brylivka was destroyed
2/11 🇷🇺 forces were using different area's around town to store and distribute ammo & other supply's to forces on the Kherson front, also this was the main supply hub for Chaplynka airbase,(main forward helicopter base) & Kairka(main vehicle repair base)
3/11 after the "goodwill gesture" or collapse of the N-Kherson front, all these places came into HIMARS range making them un-useable and places the 🇷🇺 needed to evacuate as soon as possible. One of the first places to evacuate was Chaplynka airbase. As can be seen on imagery⬇️

🧵 1/10 From early on in the war Skadovs'k has been a hotspot for 🇷🇺 officials. For example on 19th of may, this was the spot of an organised tour for western chronies to show how wonderfull live was in the occupied territories. ⬇️

2/10 The local governement working for the occupier is located at Alexandrovskaya str. near the local police station. An extensive publication about the collaborators active in Skadosv'k was done by partizans on 13-06-2022 ⬇️

3/10After the "goodwill gesture" of leaving the right side of the Dnipro river, the Regional governement of the occupier moved to Skadovs'k and needed an office of their own, so according to local sources they took up residence in resort Slava on the edge on the east side of town

🇷🇺 forces on the spit have retreated to a newly created defensive line in the bottleneck of the peninsula half way between Herois'ke & Rybal'che. The defensive line stretches all the way across (4 km) and consists of trenches and vehicle reventments. ImageImage
The terrain there is very rough(marshlands) and it would be extremly hard for 🇷🇺 forces to advance and push the 🇺🇦 forces out once they settled there, the only road is under fire control from 🇺🇦 artillery based in the Stanislav & Shyroka Balka area. 🇷🇺 defensive positions here Image
Also are in range of the 🇺🇦 artillery. Taking the Spit with a relatively small number of troops (100-200) the whole coastal area between Otsjavik & Yuzhne would be safe once again, and a new line of AD and Coastal defenses could be setup here IMHO. Image

1/12 Since the announced withdrawal of 🇷🇺forces, it is time to have an in-depth look into how they want to get their troops & equipment across the river.During the past months have setup an elaborate system of ferry's crossing the Dnipro river. At least 8 ferry's have been active
2/12 These ferry's and multiple barges have been operating continuesly, first there objective was to supply troops on the west-side of the river, since last week that changed, we have seen columns of vehicles move the other direction.
3/12 In the kherson city area, there were 3 main ferry points, one is located near the Antonovskyyi railbridge near Pridniprovsky, near the ferry loading site, mil. vehicles could be seen waiting the last couple of days. a bit further away 🇷🇺 established a rallypoint.

Serveral media have been reporting about a base or unit launching Shahed-136 drones at Ukraine being destroyed in the town of Herois'ke.I believe this to be partly true.I do believe a drone unit, connected to the 🇷🇺 forces was operating from this area
This unit which i believe was connected to the VDV has been operating from this area since mid July. In a 🧵 i wrote on 2 aug. i tried to determine, where Lancet-3 strikes which were picking up at that time most likely originated from.

I determined at that the time the most likely place was the area around Stanislav or the area around Herois'ke.This unit was using Lancet-3 drones and Orlan-10 & Orlan-30 drones to do surveillance and guidance for the attack drones. More info came to attention about this unit
