1. Charging for access to the content makes it inaccessible to many people who might benefit from it, including students and folks in countries where 100USD is a substantial amt of money.
/ There are many incredible, brilliant educators in the AI space, teaching and creating content for free, and I feel uncomfortable with the idea of charging for content that still aspires to be as good as what these folks are creating (e.g @jeremyphoward, @karpathy, @ykilcher)
/ The spirit of the AI community seems to me to be an open one. Many of the most exciting recent advances in ML/AI research come from generous scientists and engineers sharing their work (e.g., @StabilityAI , @AiEleuther)
/ The course has taken quite a bit longer to develop than I had expected. Making the content free will, I think, reduce time pressure, and allow me to focus on release higher quality content but at a more relaxed cadence.
/ I started Launchable AI in large part to help others become financially independent through entrepreneurship, with a focus on building SaaS businesses w/ NoCode and AI. Making the course free will hopefully empower the maximum number of new entrepreneurs and indie hackers.
