MDCT: Hey doc, O-arm is on his way. We want to hear more about @RSNA
MP: I only have 30 min as I need to attend #IRB meeting
MDCT: Ok doc, tell us about technical exhibits? 1/
MP: Technical exhibits were again quite interesting, sprawling over both North and South side @MccormickPlaceM One highlight of walking through technical exhibits was meeting friends after a long time
MP: They were good, however, since there is only one vendor who has received FDA clearance, all talks were based on that one vendor for #PCCT. I wish other vendors get their systems approved for clinic use soon
O-arm: Anything new to keep all those attendees entertained?
3/
MP: Glad you asked O. Yes, on Lakeside near posters, they had bands playing pleasant music. Even on Southside, they had people playing music during lunch hour
MDCT: What about that building you & your friends were standing on – I saw the photo doc
4/
MP: That was a mural painted on floor & if one stand at the designated point to take pictures, it appears as 3D. We were not on any building top, just on the mural which appears that way.
MDCT: It looks quite realistic.
5/
MDCT: BTW, my cousin's daughter said she saw your photo on a wall in one of your tweets. Hope it wasn’t on any shop or police station.
MP: No buddy, @RSNA R&E displays all their regular donors near donor lounge. Since I contribute regularly, they had my photo next to others 6/
O-arm: Why do you donate doc? What is it for?
MP: Glad you asked, @RSNA R&E does such a good job of giving out scholarships & grants which are the basis for many radiologists, medical physicists to get bigger grants.
7/
MD: In fact, this year, the return on investments is 1: 50, which means for every one dollar, it leads to obtaining $50 worth of grants.
O-arm: Doc, you don’t need to explain what 1:50 means, we are not that dumb, we can understand.
MDCT: What else doc?
8/
MP: It was quite interesting but tiring. Evenings were great to meet friends & break breads together.
MDCT: So overall crowds have returned, & meeting was nice then
MP: Yes, I am already looking forward to #RSNA2023. There is still so much to tell you guys, but I need to go

Conversation between CT & MP on Valentine's Day (VDay)
CT: What's up doc? what u doing for VDay?
MP: Well, I thought of sharing about cardiac CT scans.
CT: Why?
MP: It’s Go Red month – raising awareness about Women’s heart health. What better way to talk about heart scans. 1/
MP: What better way to talk about Coronary Artery Calcium (CAC) scans, since we can do it at such low radiation dose levels.
CT: Doc, we try to keep u away from ‘Nerd Central’, but u aren’t making our work easy
MP: Off course, I will do all things others do on VDay plus this 2/
CT: Why?
MP: You know there is a general fear of radiation in public, because of which even those who may benefit from heart scans hesitate. I thought my work is to take some fear out.
CT: Are you talking about only CAC score scans but also cardiac CT Angiography (CTA)?

Visit to Laguna de Guatavita was truly a magical experience - re how colonizers destroyed indigenous people & their customs.
Story: Muisca tribe respected & considered Laguna de Guatavita very sacred. Early spaniards were told gold was dumped in laguna
Lake Guatavita was reputedly one of the sacred lakes of the Muisca, and a ritual conducted there is widely thought to be the basis for the legend of El Dorado, "the golden one"
. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Guat…
Spaniards went in search of gold, tried to empty the laguna by digging a break through the mountain. Most work was done by enslaved locals. Tried to drain water to find gold, but were disappointed with a very little find.
Now Laguna de Guatavita is protected
