When @selenagomez showed up in the #SNL monologue with #MartinShort and @SteveMartinToGo I squealed “It’s the baby!” Because I have now reached Black auntiehood and it’s delightful.

Sprinkles/Pringles the Elf is a mood. And I share it.

One of the most wonderful moments of my journalism career was when I quoted Franck’s line “He’s a genius and we need his miiind” to Martin Short and he drolly corrected my pronunciation. “No, that’s Jon-ous.” I loved that he played along. The best.

Actually it’s should be “Jean-ous.” He’s so much better than me.

Just started #HarryandMeghanNetflix and am reminded that while they were falling in love, unhinged British women were posting conspiracy theories about why they had never met and Meghan was showing up to places Harry would be the stalk him. Hard to surmount that kind of crazy.

If I ever call you and tell you I’m going to be staying in a tent for ten days with a new boyfriend I am not in love. I have been kidnapped. Alert the authorities. #HarryandMeghanNetflix

Indeed their secrecy made it possible for that unhinged narrative to form, that it wasn’t real. Because some people needed for it not to be true. And they hated Meghan for existing and damaging their delusions that he could one day pick them. #HarryandMeghanNetflix

I have started #TicketToParadise and already am annoyed by grown rich adults who can’t be civil to each other for their child’s sake for a day.

I love that the movie knows the Americans are asshats. That idiot friend who introduces the Balinese man along with his tattoos as if he’s a museum piece and announces she’s going to sleep with him, not knowing he has a pregnant wife.

Her American colonial tourist fantasies assume that she is irresistible and that these men exist for a fun story when she goes home. She looks stupid. I love it.

Starting “The Goonies”‘with the kid. Joey Pants and Robert Davi were different flavors of criminal hot.

Mouth messing with the Spanish speaking maid by telling her there were drugs in the house is not cute.

It’s such a GenX movie. Kids fending for themselves as their houses got foreclosed on. Running the streets. Our parents would not have known if we were on a pirate ship running from felons.

Black Americans paid taxes during segregation for pools they weren't allowed to swim in, fountains they couldn't drink from and buses they had to ride in the back of. So...miss me with this "Why am I paying for school I didn't go to?" At least this is about uplift, not hate.

I wanted to clarify for the confused. I wasn’t saying that Black graduates won’t benefit from the plan but that there is precedent for taxpayers contributing to things they did not - or legally could not- benefit from.
