Award of the worst bank in Nigeria goes to @gtbank, very unseriouse & unresponsive customer services both online/ offline.
If u're thinking of opening a business account please don't ever think of GTBANK else u'll cry had I known.

To buttress this fact, the fake bot account @GTBankhlps_care has taken over responding the @gtbank tweeter mentions for long & they don't care about it & dangers it portend to their customers. Other responsible businesses respond to their mention, scam account respond to @gtbank

6 months ago, a close associate and a team member, who is also undertaking one of my IT project, opened a domiciliary account at @gtbank , paid in dollar and was issued a dollar card for his online transactions purchases and renewals of domains,hosting and others.

Little did he know that the dollar card he was issued with was not funded with the corresponding dollar deposit he made to the @gtbank , on using the card for online transaction he was promoted card not funded.

He has severally visited @gtbank, branch met every demand but the issue prevailed. Last 3 weeks he was at the bank, the customer service lady told him point blank that he should not worry her as she has submitted his complaint to headquarters as such is processed by branches.

Worried by this reply and stressed by so much time it has taken the so called @gtbank headquarters to resolve an account issue which has lingared for 6months plus.

He resorted to engaging them online via phone calls, WhatsApp, Twitter and even the complient form on the @gtbank official website at gtbank.com/escalation-form

Of all these channels he was only able to get response via phone call after he has being online for upto half an hour and was send bank to same bank branch which has earlier told him the issue was beyond them.

On tweeter dm, it was all bot response until he was responded to last Thursday & was told his complaint has been send to the appropriate unit & will be communicated once feedback is received.
Today is four days gone & no feedback has been received despite several reminder sent.

On Whatsapp no response for the past three weeks till now likewise the escalate form submitted via the complaint section on their official @gtbank website.
As long as this has lingared, my project has been kicked offline since the domain got expired and could not be renewed..

Likewise other clients websites, social media promotions and other projects the young guys manages.

All these pains, stresses and loses incurred because the young made the wrong choice banking with the @gtbank

This week, the hosting for one of my major project would got expired - no sign that @gtbank will resolved the issue before then. I need ur help #Nigerians
