1. Where #France once again stops the Arab (#Moroccan) Invasion of Europe

It turns out to be the fate of France to stop Morocco from winning #FIFA World Cup 2022.

More than 1200 years ago too, it was France which stopped the Umayyad (Islamic) invasion of Europe. This is how.

2. After the death of the Prophet, under the leadership of Caliph Umar, the Arab armies had broken upon Persia, Byzantium, Egypt and then continued conquering and converting new countries to #Islam until Morocco. But they were not to stop there.

3. In 711 the Muslim armies invaded and conquered the Iberian peninsula comprising Spain and Portugal within seven years. The march of Islam seemed unstoppable. They had not just taken northern Africa and Western Asia, but had conquered a huge kingdom of Europe.

4. It sent a shockwave in entire Christendom and the Western world when in 717 CE, the Arab-Muslim-Umayyad (what is now Morocco) crossed the Pyrenees mountains, the greatest barrier of any force moving north and spilled out on to France.

5. Gaul, as France was known then was one of the strongest Christen flagbearers in Europe. Had France fallen, it would have been almost a death knell for Christendom in Europe and the entire world. That in itself would not have been a bad thing.

6. But had Islam defeated France and conquered Europe, there would be no other force countering it in later ages and the world would have been plunged into an ever longer dark ages, than it was.

7. France was then ruled by Charles Martel, a very uncouth and rough but extremely capable military leader. In what is now called the Battle of Tours, or the Battle of Poitiers, French forces defeated the Umayyad Islamic forces in what was a rout for the latter.

8. Islamic armies were much larger but suffered horrible casualties. Umayyad Muslim commander Al-Ghafiqi was killed in the battle. The victory of France was decisive in establishing it as the leader of Europe and Christendom in the coming times.

9. As in history, as in football, it turns that it is France which defeats the Islamic invading armies, after the Islamic armies have defeated Spain and Portugal (Iberian peninsula).

10. This would have been insignificant if the entire Islamic world had not made it significant by posing the victory of Morocco as the victory of Islam. As in victory, as in loss. If that was the case, then this loss should also be counted as a divine sign.
