Instant gratification the millennials patience killer.
A thread...
Have you ever wondered what the average attention span of an average person is?
It's 7-12 seconds.
What is the reason for the drop in the attention span of a person?
Again it's instant gratification.
Surveys have shown that instant gratification is what makes the millennials think less.
The only reason the millennials are inclined towards instant gratification is because of the social media and vast availability of the resources.
Vast availability is making DECISION MAKING the hardest task.
Every time a millennial starts watching something he/she gets distributed by another content that is right next to it, which makes it difficult for the person to choose what to see.
Instant gratification is killing the power of thinking that the millennials have.
This gives you that dopamine hit which makes you feel good at that time but eventually makes you dumb and doesn't let you think.
So how do you get yourself out of the loop of instant gratification.
It's simple just give yourself some "ME TIME" just sit at a place doing nothing and let your brain think about the thoughts that it wants to think about.
During your ME TIME don't let yourself get distracted by your phone.
Keep your phone aside and don't touch that during that time.
Try this technique and you will surely feel better.

Yesterday I wrote a thread about instant gratification's effect on millennials.
Now let's talk about how delayed gratification helps you in the long term.
There is an experiment performed on delayed gratification which is called marshmallow experiment.
In which a kid is being kept inside a room and he's given a marshmallow he's given a choice to either eat it or wait for another 15 minutes to get another one.
